Champery track has changed quite a bit since the OG days of Sam Hill and Danny ripping it apart. So it sounds pretty novel! Read all about it on the other site, and if AP was actually running 30 psi in the wet at Les Gets, then it really is a big change from existing tire tech. I believe AP has been on the French nearly-flat-tires program for a while prior to these. Very cool to see actual innovation in tire tech, although it sounds like this is more a case of borrowing an existing idea from another application (as it often is in the bike industry). Having run plenty of demo days I'd say it's about 30% just having a go on an expensive bike for free, 20% just telling you what is wrong with the bike, 20% "just confirming that my bike IS better", 20% "I'm thinking of replacing my 2011 bike in the next 3-5 years" , 9% having one of the bikes on a shortlist but "I'm going to buy whatever I get the best deal on" and 1% actually going on to buy something from the demo. A couple a year was more than enough to never want to do it again.

I ran the cnc machines that made all of the linkage parts on that bike- some of the last GT's truly handmade in the USA. I've always had a saying with bikes over 160mm of travel & are on DH casing tyres etc, 'if the trails require That kinda bike, they also require a shuttle/lift' I would rather take my short travel ripper such as a Fluid/rift zone/new trance x(which i own and damn its good) pedal those up and put the fun level much higher. Although, A long travel ebike.... solves all the problems🤣

AM/ Enduro bikes (as in non-electric) will not really be a thing in 3-5 years. I'm certain I'll get downvoted for this, heck I would have downvoted this 2 years ago, but in a world where a mid-power e-bike and a full Enduro bike has their weights converge, the bike just becomes redundant. I pedaled my Enduro bikes for a lot of years but at this point it just seems silly to exert so much energy and ride time into the climbing portions of the ride.
