Nicolai/Geometron My G1 is on its second set of frame bearings, clocked in at coming up to 950,000ft of descending. Doesn’t get an easy life as it’s mainly on uplifts/chairlifts and sees a pressure washer all to frequently. proper frame alignment Tolerance of the bearing seats is very very good Angular contact at the main pivot Additional oring seals to...

So I sacrificed a string pot on the altar of science. TL;DR: So far, the results are encouraging. I used a lathe to drive the pot via an offset crankpin, allowing me to calculate the theoretical string trajectory exactly, and the maximum velocities and accelerations at different lathe speeds. The downside of this arrangement is secondary vibration: because the string oscillates vertically, its inertia introduces an error that gets larger as the speed of rotation grows. The good news is that, because it isn’t something the pot will experience in real use and occurs at mid-stroke, I think it can...

Takes 10 mins to get to the battery on the SL. Borrowed a mates levo sl for all of last December and January as my KSL shit itself for the 4th time in a 1000miles. Fantastic handling bike, from memory it was around the 20kg mark with no range extender. IMO it needed a 600 battery, then it would happily...

That guy continues to strive for the asshole of the year award. Any validity of his opinion has been removed by that kneepad/short gap and that’s even before we talk about his “low IQ” dismissal of everyone who dares to disagree with him 😂

Fairclough announced that he's off Fox, remember when he was on DVO and ran brushes between the stanchions to keep the spray down on the USD fork!

I bought a couple of these sensors years ago - they are ride height sensors used by GM, super cheap and pretty much bomb proof. A bit bulky and they run on 5v so I haven't been able to use them on a bike yet, but I still think are a good option. V8 supercars do/did use them on racecars, plus Motec sells the exact same thing for about 5x the price. You can buy/make different length arms and brackets to mount on different bikes https://www.ebay.com/itm/177392721144?_skw=Delphi+Right+ER10031+Suspens…

Surprised that you don’t see a rotary pot and a link arm being used, far cheaper and more robust. Been using string pots a lot recently as I can’t trust the guys using them to not bash them off. I’d like to back to back them with linear pots to see the response difference.
