1 day ago Guessing its the uci telemetry/gps box? Not sure if every bike runs it, but starting to see it on a lot of the XC bikes as well.

8/20/2026 1:50am Are we sure about that? Its supposedly called Spark DC, 150/140 is not very DC of them, but rather trail numbers no?. I would have thought 120 rear 130 front, or perhaps 130/140. But maybe im just imagining things

8/19/2026 2:02pm From ESMTB/MTBR - Fox seems to be testing new neo suspension for XC this week. No caliper sensors to be seen, battery placement on the bottom of the leg of the fork. Shock seems to be some xc-float version, not the float x that some XC racers have used before. https://esmtb.com/ya-estan-aqui-cazamos-las-suspensiones-electronicas-d…

8/17/2026 12:53pm Yeah I think you're right about that lugged part. He ran a low profile tire since the bike is/was mullet only afaik. There are a few mullet bikes you can run as full 29'er with lower profile tires (ibis HD6 fits a dissector in 29 in the rear for example) but does seem like they've made a different "dropout" to...

8/6/2026 8:06am Yes, that has been known for a while Intend specifically makes a fork, and has done for probably 5 years, that accepts a sid damper/cartridge. (I believe I even posted about it here 1+ year ago) And mounting the flight attendant module requires only some filing to remove like 1mm of material from the FA control unit. Mounting it to...

8/6/2026 1:19am So anyone has an explanation for this? Flight attendant module on a fox fork. Dont think the Sid 35mm cartridge fits a 34 fox fork. So has someone modified a 32mm sid sl cartridge to fit a fox 34? Or is rockshox/sram doing something we dont know about yet? Apparently there was a flight attendant "event" yesterday at different dealers...

6/29/2026 1:51pm The thing that people miss about the lockout/FA efficiency thing is that it's not just about efficiency but power production. When the bike is firmer, you have more to push AGAINST. Most people do power tests on their road bikes because they know it will boost their numbers. The longer the interval, the easier it is to do on the MTB vs the road bike, but those shorter harder efforts are generally considered easier on the road bike. Most people I know do vo2 max intervals on their road bike basically for vanity. But there is an argument it's actually...

6/29/2026 10:30am With flight attendant, you can have it this way. You can switch into manual mode, and then depending on how you set up your buttons on the axs "pod" - You can just use it to cycle between modes, like it was manually controlled, just that it does it wirelessly.

6/29/2026 3:51am I cant really remember exactly what the "app" asked when setting it up, but I am going to say no. The suspension isnt that smart, and it still relies on a proprietary tune for the bike you are on for the suspension design/kinematics. Not sure you can buy just a "off the shelf" shock from RS, you might be able...

6/13/2026 12:27am Found another pic. Seems to be a two-part solution from Sram. So a button to control the FA; with a matchmaker mount so you can mount any mechanical dropper lever combined with it. Guessing some XC people might be interested in this, wanting to run a lighter dropper but still run FA

6/12/2026 3:59pm Seems like sram has a new dropper lever+flight attendant button combo. Comes on the new scott spark models that has flight attendant but no axs dropper. For example, Specializeds Epic 8/9 pro models with flight attendant and wired dropper, just comes without a pod for the flight attendant, which I always thought was strange.

6/10/2026 4:44am you guys are just shocked at these racks! Am I missing something? It’s just a rack set for their existing bike? Great!l, fine! You fragile fundamentalists… They look like sick racks. Dudes in the ad roasted up to a hut, removed the racks, ripped some trails, drank some beers, slept and ripped home the next day? I’m cool with it, that’s exactly what I like to do! E-bikes are beyond perfect for that mission. The worst ebike is miles better than the best pedal bike. Figuring out how to get laps on laps on laps of my favorite trails was...

5/17/2026 2:50am It's 185x50. I'm not a fan of trunnion in general, but historically SC tolerances are pretty good and the design seems to be executed well, so I wouldn't expect any issues there.

5/17/2026 2:15am And here I am hoping it is using a 5Xmm shock, but I guess you make a fair point. I was thinking since the rear travel has supposedly has gone up 10mm now, they have moved on to a 185x55mm shock, possibly with a spacer to bring the stroke down to 50mm. But I guess we'll see tomorrow! (Mostly hoping...

5/7/2026 1:11am Why the dissapointment? Without knowing exactly what the bike is, other than hearing info and seeing pics. The ethos/idea of the bike is probably the same? A small travel, super fun and efficient bike - Probably more efficient with this new suspension setup, as well as lighter - But probably also more capable than the previous version. I am stoked...

4/8/2026 10:23am The new shock coming is most likely the half air, half coil. I would guess its similar, if not identical to the one that came with the moto v2 set. I believe that the "built in" neutralization of the chambers on this new monocoque shock is one of the reasons you cant run high pressures, as you can run higher...

4/2/2026 12:42pm For all the discussion on what Specialized is releasing - Reading on other forums, it seems like it is not a 130/140 trailbike (which I was hoping for), but a new, lighter, even more race focused Epic, without in-frame storage etc. Only 2 years since the Epic 8 dropped, so it seems a bit early. But they are probably fast-tracking...
