The bike biz is a great business to be in! It is also a job at the end of the day. Not everyday is drinking beers and riding bikes with badass industry folks. Some days are spreadsheets, negotiating pricing like a car deal or spending hours upon hours driving or standing in a tradeshow booth. But when you get those days of riding bikes and hanging with cool people talking bikes, it is more than worth it. While in the bike business I've never had a meeting with the Bob's or had to hide my stapler. Pick the right brand...

10% is "small" company-wide but 50+ people getting the boot is pretty significant. especially if a portion of them are in rural wisconsin.

Sexual. You're feeling sexual about it. That stirring in your loins means you've finally blossomed in to womanhood. Congratulations!

Similar product, spotted at the Snow Summit National last weekend behind someone's van. Asked and he said they work great, exactly as intended. We compared notes about how blown away we both were the first time riding a heavy ebike through choppy rough stuff. The front one is apparently an off-the-shelf moto product that fits a Dorado upper leg without modifications. And yes, these are definitely suspended mass dampers. Sadly, this bike needed a steering damper and hand guards to win bike tech bingo.

I think their version of growing the sport is 20 percent of the people currently making a living from the racing industry make more money and the other 80 percent have to go and do something else entirely. I really feel for riders like Matt Walker and the Dorval riders , they're world class racers and at any point in the last few years they would have found a team but under the current circumstances they might struggle.

Rode a few laps on the new Schwalbe Albert radial tyre. It was bikepark so can't really comment on grip. But the main reason I'm writing is to warn you that finger tyre pressure checks won't work on this tyre with radial construction! At 25psi it feels way softer than the front kryptotal at 19psi, same volume and similar casing.

I've been away for a while, so not checking regularly for a couple weeks, so I spent a couple hours trying to catch up, prolly 12 or so pages the content and tone of comments has changed drastically in the last year. I can only assume with increased users and engagement, which has brought along with it, a much more negative and judgy tone. I was drawn to this comment section for the rumours and innovation (and spy shots, and great info from the likes or TEAMROBOT, Cascade, Dave, and many others) but I find myself turned off by the...

An Ebike isn’t just about making the climb easier. At least that’s what I’ve learned about them. It’s more about time management. I don’t have to plan my whole day around a ride on my favorite trail. You can also get to trails that you don’t ride as much because they are easier to access. It’s also interesting to run them in a different direction that wouldn’t be feasible on your regular bike. Did I mention climbing technical trails has a whole new spin to it? I still prefer riding my analog bike to be fair. Ebikes are just another...

To be honest he's closer to Saruman. Good interview. The closest Ball has got to any form of honesty. Bullet points. 1. Confirms that they want Wc to be Elite only. 2. Says it's not their job to support a pathway to actually becoming elite. 3. Their goal is 'growth' to 'increase value'.......but only in casual viewership and value to themselves 4. The path to this is 'simplifying' the sport ie making courses shorter, shorter broadcasts. 5. That everyone needs to stop complaining. Wb are not in this for shit and giggles. They are here to make money. It's value...

I don’t know, a Slash+ is like 46lb. For me personally, the self shuttle aspect of ebikes is completely ruined by the fact that they all seem to descend like crap because they’re so heavy. Good luck unweighting the bike to change lines. I always feel kinda forced to just smash through whatever is in front of me with no finesse.

I think you just figured it all out! Those buttons on Loic's bike spray water against the shock to cool it down, just like the intercooler sprayer on an old WRX STI. Brilliant!
