Around the time that 1x11 were really getting strong, I remember a front shifter system (I think from Germany?) that used that exact same selector functionality, buy having sections of the larger cog tip in to pickup the chain without chaining the chainline

The product releases are coming in fast & thick today.
I'm so into the geo on these man
That new Intense Spider is a very good looking bike. I feel like they took style cues from Bold, YT, and maybe one or two others and put their own great spin on it. Very nice
Or they just copied SCOR?
yeah yeah, would love to take one for a spin! I feel they really nailed it, longer chainstay = more upright posture for shreddage. people have been getting too caught up in motor stats with the eebs lately but the geo is more important imo. I think mondraker has the eeb geo figured out too
I’m surprised it’s carbon. By the intense feature on the pinkbike podcast last month I was given the impression their new frames were all going to be metal.
So interested in this one. Going to have to test ride first to verify the geo claims.
Two concerns:
1) The motor system very well might have doubled in price due to the tariffs. On future orders anyways.
2) It seems so weird to have a bike like this without chain ring protection. I wonder if there is a simple solution that I'm not aware of?

stolen from the other site. Lal is releasing their own supre drive frame.
I'd imagine that the assembly in Cumberland is a significant enough change to make the bike a Canadian product for importing.
Edit: Turns out these were assembled in Asia, forget I said anything
Let's be real, there's only so many ways to package a VPP. They're bound to look like at least one other bike.
Right?? Proper proportional rear center for the reach numbers. Geometron/RAAW level stack and wheelbases to boot. That thing would motor (literally) over BC chunder with ease. Surprised the sizes stop at S4 because that's a large.
I saw that too.
Seems like https://contrabikes.com/ would be a great platform for his drivetrain system, but I guess he wants his own bikes.
I'd just run the @CascadeComponents chainguard for forbidden bikes on it. I have one on my Dread v2 and use it instead of a lower roller. It's awesome (also allows me to take out a couple links in the chain)
For the people at Forbidden who read this blog. I love you guys. Your bikes are awesome and I can't wait to see what else you have up your sleeve!
after nicolai dropped their lal bike i'm not surprised this is the route they've opted for.
double in price for americans. so who cares anyways? your vote, your result. deal with it.
Fox USD fork confirmed (or at least they are showing it as a prototype)

So it was Fox after all! Now looking forward to the 38SL

Intend are going to seem like a bargain when Fox reveal that pricing of that bad boy
Msrp of fox suspension in europe is about the same price as the intend essential fork right now so, its close already. Often easy to find deals on fox though. But if they are selling the production version like the one in the pictures, with cnc'd parts, its probably close to the regular intend stuff
TWENTY MILS TWENTY MILS
Not if the fox ships with the stanchion guards.
Heard from a reputable source that the Fox USD is releasing in June.
Heading for the podium this weekend that.
But short swing arm. long RC is nothing with a short physical chainstay.
Long physical arm and shorter RC is 👌
It's not even like proportional centres are hard. You only need to move the BB forwards or backwards on the front triangle. No need to make different rear ends. Companies are just banging out bikes that ride completely different depending on the size you buy, cause the ratios are all off.
Man that forbidden Eeb looks good, ticks all my boxes. A frame option would be sick if possible.
Also lol'd at this, tip of the hat from Forbidden to us goobers.
"Darwin once stated, “The crab is the highest form of evolution.” Alright, we made that up, but there’s no doubt you’ll recognize that we’ve gone to a new suspension layout on the Druid E."
That chainstay length is banana's though, my Range VLT has a 462mm rear end and it only gets shorter through the travel, for me even with huge stack it's a touch long. 470mm on the S4 (what I would ride) and growing is LONG.
