Name a more annoying sound than an American complaining about ebikes. Honestly, we've all heard your opinions before. We know you have them. I don't really like or want an ebike either but there are 12,000,000 whingy comments online about how you're too pure or too dedicated or too fit or too angry at unskilled riders and you're mad about it. We don't need any more. Talk about the market or discontinuation of normal bikes, sure, but complaining about being passed on a climb track or peoples ass cracks is tiring af at this point. You've been yelling about it...

Guys, I know you don't want to hear this... but the racks on that new Levo 4 X monstrosity are really cool. Those ugly Levo X racks move all of the cargo on the bike from unsprung mass to sprung mass. As forum dwellers, we should all be able to appreciate why that's going to ride better, even if the XX cranks, the paint job, and the S-works price point are all serious headscratchers. If you don't believe me, check out this writeup from Travis Engel at the Radavist on a similar front rack design that he bodged together on...

We stopped stocking full suspension mountainbikes last year. I'll order them if there is demand for one. Else, it has a motor. We kept low cost hardtails for the youth though.

The "multiplier effect" is an economic fallacy. "Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed."

show me the non quadrocopter fpv drones they use in combination with an explosive then. afaik the most drones they use (bomber drones, fpv and the ultrafast ones against shaheds) use at least 4 or more motors. only the loitering types and the long range ones have less. therefore, they use a huge ass amount of motors per day, which...

i don’t remember where i read it, but ukraine uses about 10 fpv drones per killed russian per day currently, that’s about 10-15k drones a day, times 4 motors.

They're starting a company and building a factory to get to 30 million electric motors per year by 2030? Per year? 30 million? Is this a joke? Should that be billion? I work for a moderately small automotive supplier in freaking Slovenia and we probably make more than a million electric motors from our designs, by components, in a year. I'm not taking into account all the small DC motors from the likes of Johnson which are a commodity. I'm talking about stepper motors and BLDC drives that are similar to what's in ebike drives. Is the state of manufacturing...

Yeah, my Mistress has almost exactly the same wheelbase as an XXL Hightower. Folks attribute a lot of dynamics to a long reach that I think are actually the result of a long wheelbase. But there’s a feedback loop in the market, where brands’ marketing sells the stability and capability of a long wheelbase via the specific design choice they used to achieve that -- a long reach -- and then that becomes part of what shop staff and informed buyers start looking for specifically. I know I absolutely would not have bought a bike with a 460mm reach off...

The whole “taller riders have more of their mass forward of the bottom bracket” thing doesn’t at all track for me for three reasons. First, taller riders have the same limb/torso proportions are shorter riders, so their mass is going to be distributed on their body the same way. Humans have roughly the same arm span as height and our femurs are roughly 1/4th of our height, pretty much across the board. Obviously, there is variance between individuals, but it’s not like tall people are just people with really long shins. (We’re not talking about a cromegaly, I’m assuming.) Second...
