8/9/2026 7:02pm Excuse my ignorance, why is the Tomac a big deal? I see the appeal, the bike has that retro look and I dig it. But this is the first in my 28 years I have heard Tomac…

8/3/2026 6:00pm I also loved my Taniwha but could not go back to it after trying a newer bike because of the geo. That side I was a massive fan of the pinion and will for sure have another one some day. I think the shifting gets blown out of proportion. I would just time my shifts when my pedals were are 12 and 6 position and ease up a bit on the power and you could shift no problem. I was very against the grip shift at first but after some time on it I liked it.

8/2/2026 9:01pm I loved my Taniwha till I tried more updated geometry 😄 As much as I love the idea of the Smart Shift, I feel like it actually neuters the bike with the slower shifts. The gripshift is so quick and has such a short throw, so you can grab so many gears. The amount of time you actually need to...

8/2/2026 8:17pm So many bones to pick with that vid. The outgoing Zerode Katipo is very capable and aside from the seat tube angle I have very few complaints. It's a pleasure to ride. Much more satisfying ride quality than my SB Yetis. It is an enduro bike and they all climb tolerably at best in general race trim with the ethos of get it to the top, make it ride really fast on the way down. I have only washed the belt and lubed the idler in my season and a half of riding. No issues... With a cable grip shift...

6/15/2026 1:25am While I haven't ridden it myself yet, all the people who I know who have, which is about 7-8 people on a variety of bikes, have no complaints about the clutch. No dropped chains, no excess noise, no feedback from chain slap. I hope to get some time on it soon.

6/14/2026 6:46am Angel gets a paycheck, gets to keep racing, and I would imagine helps with developing the next Aventon ebike. What's the problem?

6/13/2026 8:23pm I'd guess personal preference, Shimano not pressuring riders to run specific products, and having a variety of reliable options to choose from rather than going from a brake that barely works to an absolute monster. In theory, you'd assume that Shimano would want everyone on Saint brakes for dh, but you only see a handful of riders running them anymore...

5/20/2026 7:35am Apologies in advanced if I'm just late to the party, but has someone already stated what that cable coming out of, what I would normally assume is a Reverb controller, is for? Caught my eye with each viewing. Seems a wee bit odd, or all those undiagnosed concussions as a kid are catching up to me.

5/18/2026 2:45am Ahh the Fanzone. Too bad the "security" there didn't actually know what passes were what. I had a VIP pass and was turned away at the DH fan zone, but welcomed with open arms at the XC 🤣. Waited like 20 minutes for a single over-priced beer at the cafe building as a result.

5/18/2026 2:27am Fanzone ticket paid for itself if you were a beer drinker, there were nice toilets at the back of the two storey building near the finish line.

4/21/2026 10:17pm It was a 4-day holiday weekend but became a 5-day last month. Roads, trains, buses will be packed on 5/1-2 from morning till early afternoon. Get your transport while you can. Some small teams that tried to book vans in the last few weeks weren't successful

4/17/2026 10:47pm Only a couple of weeks until UCI Downhill World Cup kicks off. I'm stoked for it, especially considering the ultra-talented riders who are graduating to Elite from Juniors. Let's go.
