I agree with the hot take because the Status you’re talking about is a complete bike where the Torrent frame only is $3k. The TR11 frame is $400 cheaper with much more adjustment and a spot for a water bottle. (Which any non-race, park bike should have) Im not falling for Norco trying to gaslight us with no adjustability as...

Not trying to be argumentative but I do completely disagree with that first point. Quake... MAYBE, but anybody wanting to race I think will look elsewhere. The bottlerocket is blatantly marketed as not a race bike. I guess the status DH isn't talked about but I think its a sleeper sick bike. Maybe because there's one at my LBS that's for sale for 3k out the door. The industry needs as many cheap aluminum double crown bikes as it can handle. Bike park laps on these types of bikes is in my opinion the purest form of the sport. Just...

My hot take is if Brage wasn’t attached to this bike, the response would be much less positive.

Maybe I just haven’t noticed before on the other 32” bike pictures, but damn those tires look so close together.

This is my situation too and why I think the industry is still screwed for the foreseeable future. Not only have those of us propping up the industry year after year stopped buying, but we now have a huge back catalog of dirt cheap previously released bikes we want to try. If I ditched my dual crown Patrol it would...
As someone who, for 20+ years, got at least 1 new bike every year, I haven’t purchased a new bike in almost 3 years. I feel like 90% of bikes in the last 5 or so years have been great. So much so, that I’m actually considering buying the last gen Norco Optic as my next trail bike. Coming into 2026 I was convinced I would get a “New” full suspension frame this year. While I’m sure I’d be happy with the new Tallboy, Reya, or Ranger, it’s hard to justify the $$$$ for a new frame when I can...

Man… this forum is screwed. Everything is turning crab, each new product launch is 1.25% better than the shitty unusable last generation, and now we are discussing solar capabilities on an ai bike that will more than likely be a kickstarter scam. The future looks great! 😃

You can have remote audio production (mixing, commentating, etc) and compensate for any distance / delay.

You can really tell with the delay that they're announcing off site. They're always a moment or move behind where Rob and team would explode in the moment that something happened if what they were watching. It takes the enjoyment out of it almost completely. When Gracey hit the hole in that corner and almost lost it, she's recovered and was two corners out by the time they addressed it. Same as when Vergier crashed.

The overwhelming strategy that everyone was saying coming into this race was to "maintain position up top and turn it on in the steep". The thought was that you can't win or lose in the pumpy section, and all the differentiation would be done in the steep corners. Everyone was wrong. Luca went 1-1-1-2 in the first sectors before falling back to midpack. Benny Cool had a similar trajectory. Finn's splits were even more stark. Out of the top 5, only Jordan Williams and Tyler Waite's performances could be claimed to be a back half strategy. This outcome may have...

Me: Can we stop and get a 6-bar suspension from Yeti? Mom: We've got 6-bar suspension at home: For older Amflows, but I suppose the new ones might be supported as well: https://www.mklinkage.net/

Those 6 bar yeti bikes had reviewers gushing. I’ve had absolutely zero desire to try a switch infinity bike. If they follow through with 6bar non e-bikes I’ll be really trying to give them a shot.

Yeah, that's a much more succint way to put it! It's the 'Concorde Theory', we've kind of gone backwards from supersonic flight because we realised there was another way to solve a transatlantic day trip, the internet.

Transition has the dank taco truck thing going on Everyone in Bellingham works for transition or evil or Kona Santa Cruz marketing was absolutely tempting transition to post that photo on purpose Becasue the embargo was like a week away and the bike was ready to ship We got them all looking for ways to sneak the obvious and make it look sneaky or obvious Nobody got fired and many Tallboys have been sold Smugglers still heavier and spur geo Is conservative compared to tb Tacos. It’s all about tacos.
