Taller riders historically getting the shaft with the one size fits all chainstay approach, has been my experience. It takes time to adapt to a longer rear end and riding through your feet and hips. The longer you've been on a short rear end, the longer it takes to recalibrate ones riding style, but the benefits are certainly there afterwards...

Correct, the discharge rating on the existing cells is too low when used in smaller capacity packs. The newer 6000mah molicell 21700's have a higher discharge rating, and would be appropriate for standalone small pack usage.

My two cents. Tuning trumps all other factors, if it's an off the shelf shock, it may or may not work for you. -Vivid air has been disappointing on every bike I've tried one on. -Vivid coil, pretty decent. -Fox x2 24+, okay, but definitely more seal drag than the old ones that blew up regularly. -Fox dhx2 coil, mediocre...

Your mileage may vary of course. Most of my riding is aggressive bike park stuff. A caveat with any of the continentals is that they need a solid day or two to "scuff" in.

Yes, Argotal in super soft up front and kryptotal soft rear. Best all around tire combo I've tried. The hr3 tends to be much more "squirmy" on hardpack and slabs. The radial mm has a similar squirmy, vague feeling in fast corners, and is average on slabs. DH/gravity casings for all, of course.

I found the m2 without the spacer to generally be more comfortable, but it lost a lot of it's mid stroke support. I imagine the reduced lower leg volume of the m3 helps with that.

The clutch rattles alot in the sx motors. It is one of the less desirable power systems. They are certainly serviceable and fairly reliable though. The mondraker, I wouldn't buy anything but their '25+ bikes, as they have the updated rear suspension. What size are you ?

If you've narrowed it down to two, there are many more important factors there than travel. Which bikes ? And where do you do most of your riding ? I'm a pretty big fan of more travel on e-bikes since there's no penalty in terms of battery life. I do lots of riding west of calgary, e-bike is a good...

I don’t know what to say, it is pretty common knowledge that e-bike suspension just tends to work better. There are many brands out there that use very similar geo and kinematics in their acoustic and e versions of a bike. It’s not enough of a difference to be an actual negative to an acoustic bike, but the difference is...
