2/14/2026 4:45pm Longer reach works better with higher ratios (shorter chainstays/long front centers). The g1 does not have a long chainstay for it's wheelbase. It is around a 1.84 ratio. Most forbidden's are 1.8, regardless of size.

I thought the rear suspension did not look very well set -up in some clips. But I agree with your overall sentiment. That bike and Vali is gonna be a huge handful for the rest of the women racers. That YT is just a stiff, physical and pretty one-dimensional bike compared to what's possible on a V5. Although the other girls ain't gonna be sitting still. So it's prob gonna be a very exciting year of racing

2/4/2026 8:26am It's just nice to see them finally making a slow creep towards a more modern f/r ratio, though a 460+mm stay option in large and xl sizes would have been welcome. The 450mm is a step in the right direction for the size large at least, xl is still a bit whack.

2/3/2026 8:18am It's not the whole story when it comes to handling, but it does determine where the reach and stack should be to compliment the f/r ratio, and ultimately determine riding position. Personally, in size larges, I've found that 1.8 is the happy number, up to 1.84. Past that cornering performance starts to suffer unless you're riding that front end like...
