Prize money as the main source of revenue has always seemed off to me, it's a nice bonus, but I do hope that the racers can earn enough from sponsors to keep doing it. Revenue sharing from ppv income seems like a great place to start, but with this it's still a prize money thing.

It's just not possible for Maydena. The town is too small to support a WC size field. There isn't the accommodation, the food, the parking/pits setup. Maybe you could do 60 riders? Maydena has the hill (it's 820m top to bottom) and the trails. But the town is too isolated to host an actual WC race.

9/16/2026 12:27pm There was a rumour on here not so long ago that Deer Valley was going to host a WC..but if I remember correctly, Nelo Mullaly on a Downtime episode said it wasn't gonna happen. At least that's what my poor memory is telling me. 😂

I'm pretty sure Mack Manietta is with Gen-S (the Specialized development team) and has been since early 2025. There was a press release last year that said Finn Iles would be playing a mentorship role with Mack. Here's a short video from last year where Gen-S announced it.

9/15/2026 10:36pm I thought Finn, Loic and Jordan all signed new deals with Specialized Gravity in 2025 through 2027? Could be wrong though. Either way I can't see Finn leaving the S with how good that bike is and how good his season is going etc.. (minus the injury)
