6/12/2026 1:03pm It makes perfect sense to me that the true fastest and best riders will rise to the top in horrible conditions, as opposed to the roll of the dice that we've seen at most races in the super competitive era of Q1, Q2, and a 30 rider final. The better the conditions are, the more I think they reward a gambler's mindset. Everyone is going to be going roughly the same speed and the only way to set yourself apart is going to be risking it all for the biscuit. Some will get lucky, some won't, everyone will be going...

6/12/2026 8:21am I'll never forget the "brand new" track. Barney Rubble was massive jagged rocks. By day two, we'd cracked it into rubble. Spin Cycle infuriated me day one. Just WHACK the opposite bank of a 45 degree gully. 180 & whack the other side of the ditch. Day 2, it was pure berm to berm slapping silt. I did wind up suspended upside down hanging down the ditch clipped in when a long root was loosened from the soil & captured me like something alive. Course marshall sitting there just stared and said "Haven't seen that before." Had to beg him...

6/12/2026 8:21am I had that happen at a Sea Otter DH one year. I rag dolled through the gully/g-out and some dude just said "No one else crashed there." No offer of help.

6 hours ago [Edited to remove the Hastings sisters... dantecusolito pointed out that Kate was knocked out due to a re-run. Sorry for the ...er... hasty post on this one.] Two of each in the finals: Alran, Mallen, Logar, and Pierron. Am I missing anyone? (Two Kerrs as well, but I'm sticking to siblings.)

1 day ago Dakotah Norton / GoPro already posted a POV from timed training. Note the caption for the video: " Crazy chaingin weather in Leogang today, Dakotah Norton just got a Run in before the Storm hit the Track again. " No idea how long the storm lasted, but it seems it might indeed have affected conditions for the Elite women and...

1 day ago Timed training for Elite women and all Juniors: Vali Höll goes fastest (3:59.767) followed by Baumann, Bouladou, Nicole and Melton, with 9.193 seconds separating 1st and 5th. Only 4 other riders were within 30 seconds of Vali's time. Malik Boatwright led men's Juniors (3:30.143) with Kuegler, Binsbergen, and Luke and Alex Mallen 2nd-5th. The gap from 1st to 5th was...

1 day ago I just took a quick look at the timed training that's currently underway. Right now the Junior men and women and the Elite women are all on the track, with a little more than an hour left in the session, and either there's something not right with the timing or the track conditions have deteriorated like crazy since the Elite...

6/10/2026 9:01am The 2026 Leogang World Cup is here with DH / XC / EDR races this weekend. Weather (for now) is looking generally damp but not a total washout. Lawlor will be there with the video goods, Luca Shaw is coming off of his first-ever win and for the first time, Elite Women will close out race day, dropping in after Elite Men. Should be a good one. Weather as of Tuesday Rider entry list below (these are pre-registered teams/riders and aren't necessarily racing). We'll open Vital DH Fantasy after the qualifying start lists drop.
