5/19/2026 9:04pm Growing wealth inequality incentivizes selling a handful of high margin bougie builds instead of high volume low margin budget rippers. Looking at all the 15k USD Avinox bikes makes we wonder if we’re closer to that future than we realize. The person that pays 15k for a bicycle is probably the sort of person who won’t mind spending 16k in 2 years just to have the newer thing.

5/19/2026 6:33pm Kinda strange that his caption says he quoted a dimension with no context then in his comment says the 30mm doesn’t come from anywhere, no? I may be more confused than before

5/18/2026 12:07pm I think aerodynamic fairings are banned but this one’s “to facilitate maintenance during race operations.”

5/15/2026 7:05pm Damn dude! I just looked this up and at first glance Ford was the homie for doing something other than maximizing shareholder profits but then I read the next paragraph of the Wikipedia and he was doing that, in part, to squeeze out the dodge bros from using their fordbux to make their competitor brand, so that seem like he’d...

5/15/2026 6:50pm I love DH bikes. They make my motor hum like a buzzy bee. I get excited just looking at my DH bike and all silly when I ride it and pretend I’m Asa who makes it look SO easy.

5/15/2026 4:03pm My experience with the South Korea World Cup. I thought driving was easy, especially with the blue and pink lines on the road at interchanges and the Naver nav app worked well. The food was pretty good and had one Korean BBQ that was outstanding. Definitely get a bed in your room which I did and heard from others that didn't that is was not good. Did see the ominous black trashcan in the restrooms which by the clogged nature of the toilet (not plural) at the finish line, no one else did. No other restrooms at the finish line...

5/15/2026 4:02pm I’m not pro-Evil but dude this is like bringing up the Pinto as a reason not to get a new Ford. There may be plenty of relevant and current reasons but this isn’t one.

5/15/2026 6:33am This but they must be marketed as park bikes. I wonder how the Status 170 DH sold. As far as I’m concerned every rental fleet should be those instead of 200mm travel DH race bikes.

5/14/2026 3:46pm Old man/ old eyes hack. If you have presbyopia( the loss of the ability for your eyes to focus on close objects) you most likely have your fix with you. Curl your index finger tightly until there is only a small gap. Bring this close to your eye and look through it at what you’re trying to focus on. This small aperture is the same thing a camera lens uses to increase depth of field. It’s not perfect, but it may get you by. I have a 2.0 diopter close up correction and this works for me if I don’t...

5/14/2026 10:18am Yeah, that was my bad. I should have put a pic with it! Was hesitant cuz not Spesh but appreciate the follow up. I still need to write up a bike check on here. In the meantime, here’s a pic of it from high country season. It’s had some parts changes over the years and more coming at it soon. This is about where it’s at currently (now has HR3s F/R) . Love this thing. It’s everything it shouldn’t be. And everything I want it to be. Overbuilt Tallboy V4- and VAN HALEN

5/14/2026 10:12am I had the opportunity to spin the cranks on a new Demo 11 that was in stock at my LBS (shoutout to InCycle in Pasadena), and there was a CRAZY amount of stiction or drag in the cranks/chains/freehub/somewhere when I did a backspin on the cranks. My questions are: Does that drag get better over time, as seals and/or chains break in? And has Specialized quantified how much drag the HighGear system produces, in terms of watts lost to drag at various inout power or RPM levels?
