Not exactly a tech rumor, as this is actually real, but worth a post here I think - BikeYoke has just introduced their new "Cockpit Calculator" (do you have a better name for it?), basically a 3D visualization of how changing your geo and cockpit parameters affect your riding position. It's a pretty neat concept, with a few nice use cases that jump out at us. I think this somewhat fits the topic but also kind of doesn't: Alexander Ovechkin, the all time leading goal scorer in NHL history had a falling out with his long term equipment sponsor CCM a couple of years ago over the fact they discontinued the stick model he spent the majority of his career using. Because of the need to constantly "innovate" and give the masses something new (where have we heard this story before?), he tried using the newer CCM sticks and it got to the point where he was using other brands to no avail. I had started a dedicated Green River Classic thread down below calling out Corecross, but it dropped to the bottom of the page. But yeah, GRC gets my vote for the current most "core" and coolest event in mountain biking. As a lot of folks have noted, it's like Swampfest for mountain bikes. This year had some pretty insane pros there with Clemens Kaudela, Matt Begg, DJ Brandt, and others. I posted it in the dedicated thread, but here's my son's carnage clip from Corecross. So gnarly.

Dynamic sag is just an average. I will often look at a specific part of the track if he's feeling something weird but generally I rely more on his feeling and our static measurement. He prefers 27.5 rear, but if all the stages were like 1 and 5 we would have considered 29. Most of us mortals couldn't ride any of these setups, it's hard to describe how fast these guys are and how much support they need.

We gave it a good go! Close encounter with a rock and lost his derailleur battery toward the bottom of the final stage. Hats off to Gilly, Elliot, and Richie. Great battle!

Did a new one yesterday - installing a dropper in my new build, went to trim the housing but forgot to pull the cable out. Now the housing is perfect but the cable is too short so I'm just going with a rigid post. Before that, I managed to defeat the downtube-to-seat tube corner after a long frustrating battle when getting my housing internally routed, just to realize I put it in through the wrong head tube hole
