Some quick pit snaps from this morning. It’s mixed/sun clouds so far today. I chatted with Gwinny and he said the muds getting thick on track. The sun is helping the bits in the open dry out/roll faster, but a lot of the woods is constantly evolving. Everyone seems to have the attitude of “time to see how this goes!” Going into Q1 Haha Lot of ppl running uncut spikes. Trek running a mix of HR3 F/R, and Assegai/DHR2. I’ll be doing more posting to Vital’s Insta stories the rest the day, so check there for continued updates.

You mean the screw here on the upper right? That’s a plugged bore that we need to create the caliper’s oil channel. After forging the one-piece caliper, a drill goes in there and connects both sides of the caliper. There’s no other way to manufacture it. You can also understand it with a look at the previously shared "oil channel"-cut-image. After manufacturing, this screw is never removed again. It simply plugs the bore in the caliper. What do you mean with brake rubbing? Two answers: Caliper Alignment: The caliper alignment is much easier because you now have more pad cleareance compared to MT7. The piston retraction is at least 50 % more. And we´ve developed a new smart Piston Alignment Tool to make caliper alignment easier. It e nsures that all caliper pistons are aligned exactly symmetrically. This creates the best conditions for precise and uncomplicated alignment of the brake caliper. ey, we’ve finally got aluminum brake levers for you guys now 🙄😉 The Shimano brake master would probably move too little oil for our latest calipers and we haven´t tested it. And we won´t. ( We generally strongly advise against such combinations. Neither we nor others can guarantee their safe and reliable function. Such combinations have never undergone any official testing or validation.)

Yes, we definitely worked on this. Here are a few points: The oil channel through the caliper is now circumferential, with no dead ends. This makes it much easier to catch every air bubble, and the caliper orientation is no longer as important. You no longer have to remove the caliper from the frame. We now finally have a bleed valve on the caliper. Once you remove the syringe, no air can get back in and no oil can escape. The axial expansion reservoir works better because the port connecting the piston chamber to the reservoir is positioned higher up...
