I have a “fun” one. Got an ultrasonic cleaner last week to go with my new waxing regime, time to clean everything! I had a couple hours and figured I could settle in for some meditative bike maintenance. I’d pulled my cassette (Garbaruk XD 12 speed) and the cleaning cycle was almost done when my wife was home early from some cancelled plans- and now my available time evaporated. I like the clutch in the Jab. You can fine tune the breakaway force and the clutch has a ratchet so it does not engage on release.

I can speak from recent experience it’s a few times over $600 even with good insurance. Also didn’t help they needed to CT scan most of my upper body... Even as a recreational rider I wear the Fox Baseframe Pro every time I ride, even light trail riding. I’ll welcome any advancements for pros and weekend warriors. After coming close to breaking my back on this last spill I’ll take the extra bone insurance and defer my groupset upgrade. And after watching Luca go 50 mph and Millie nearly throw off the Earth’s rotation, glad most riders should have options...

When I was watching supercross I saw a few of these go off. Its impressive how much they puff up. Also I assume quite a few dudes were running them all season and no one had it go off while just riding. Its a bummer because we all could probably benefit from one of these when riding park, but I imagine its a 1 and done thing when it goes off. And 600$+ is just too much.

Sort of a tech rumour? Remy looks to be on an Avalanche damper in his latest video. We know Vorsprung is working on a new damper, and they had noted they’ve been testing all the other options (including Avy).

I’m running Trail Pro Radials front and rear and my butt hasn’t fallen off yet. I’m 220lb with gear/water and running 33 psi in back, though, so check your rim’s max pressure spec if you’re a heavier rider.

Here's something neat, came on a DH Rallon. UDH direct mount Shimano saint derailleur. Not sure if orbea is the one making this or Shimano but interesting to see.
