Here's something neat, came on a DH Rallon. UDH direct mount Shimano saint derailleur. Not sure if orbea is the one making this or Shimano but interesting to see.

Haha, yeah that was me! I saw it again two weeks ago, it was full of telemetry devices this time. I asked when it was coming out and the guy tried to tell me it was a Pivot this time 'round. Can't imagine how it doesn't get released later this summer/fall as a '27 model considering how tidy it currently looks and the fact they are riding it at high noon on the most popular trail network in the Golden. Might need to just post up in the bushes with a camera next time...

Did the pivot bearings on my Hightower V2 this winter. Taking my time it was about two hours. Punching them out is easy, and a bearing press helps to not jack anything up. With 3 SC bikes in our house the free bearings are nice.

I’m not pro-Evil but dude this is like bringing up the Pinto as a reason not to get a new Ford. There may be plenty of relevant and current reasons but this isn’t one.

There’s so much to get into on this topic and if folks are interested I’d love to start a dedicated thread on materials and environmental impacts. The TLDR is, carbon fiber as a green product on its own is a fallacy. The raw fiber production may result in a certain level of carbon sequestering, but the process is still so energy intensive I wouldn’t call it an environmental positive. As...
