2 hours ago Lead is problematic for multiple reasons. If you need something around the same density (i.e. steel isn't doing it for you) then I suggest 10 carat gold.

8/6/2026 4:24pm Yes, that has been known for a while Intend specifically makes a fork, and has done for probably 5 years, that accepts a sid damper/cartridge. (I believe I even posted about it here 1+ year ago) And mounting the flight attendant module requires only some filing to remove like 1mm of material from the FA control unit. Mounting it to a fox fork however, is not something i've seen before, and not sure how it works. And if you've looked at a flight attendant module, its also not very easy to understand how someone would fit it to a fox...

8/6/2026 4:23pm Where did you see that? Could you share a link, because I'm curious if this is confirmed or just a rumor.

8/1/2026 4:06pm I always let up before shifting, it's just good practice. As for Pinion, apparently it's limited in the shifting mechanism power, not pedal power. On their assembly line they shift it with an external servo motor under full load without problems.

7/29/2026 3:54am I just got back from a week long trip to whistler where due to some family issues (sick pet) and friends cancelling last minute, I was mostly riding alone. I had a buddy join me for a few hours on 2 days, but other than that, I was left alone with my mediocre riding skills and my thoughts. With this much time alone, you tend to develop an inner monologue of Hot Takes... and since I had no one to share these with, I am coming here to plop them down. I also don't use social media because of a...

7/27/2026 1:12am Name goes back some 15-20 years ago when first proper tubeless components were introduced (tubeless ready tires, tubeless wheelsets like mavic demax, which are not drilled throught etc) but a lot of us scrubs couldnt afford those and sealants were not as good as they are today so if not using proper parts the setup most likely wouldnt hold air and a ghetto setup was invented by cutting a 20" innertube and streching it over a rim and then mounting a tire, so the cut innertube would rest between the tire and the rim effectively sealing it. Combined with the...

7/26/2026 4:59pm Subaru uses a straight CVT with no additional gearing with all 'gear changes' being simulated. The eCVT you're talking about is Toyota's Hybrid Synergy Drive: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hybrid_Synergy_Drive

7/25/2026 4:36pm just saw this in mojo suspension story. Looks like some kind of dual spring setup for fine tuning/recreating individual dual rate spring curve. I think Dave Garland did something like this for the boxxer quite some years ago.
