1 day ago Why would they make the rear specific tire flimsier? I have never heard this and seem like it wouldn't make sense for a rear. When I mounted up my DH casing versions they felt about the same.

5/28/2026 1:14pm Do you have a fox fender on it? Those can be super clunky when they flex and hit your tire.

5/20/2026 6:55am Rebound rates on 38 seems very slow. Spring rates on 2 bikes for coil seemed pretty close or right on.
Between The Tape Liked a reply to forum topic What frame brands are nicest to bearings? Should bearings and service be a consideration when buying a bike?
5/16/2026 6:27am I think Raaw frames are exemplary when it comes to bearings: All bearings feature sealed caps on each side to keep dirt out They are easy to change There are no tiny bearings (smallest size is 28mm) They are interchangable between Raaw frames Raaw has an online web shop which makes it easy to source bearings, caps, replacement seals and a bearing press Anecdotally, I've had three Raaw frames and never had a single bearing issue.

Between The Tape Liked a forum topic Should You Reverse Your Stem? - Reece Wilson Setup Analysis
5/13/2026 6:47am If you haven’t already, check out Vital’s latest PIT BITS for a quick overview of Reece’s particular setup. While there is a lot of interesting tech on Reece’s bike, one defining feature is the prototype raised reversed stem manufactured by Be More Bikes. Reece combines this stem with high rise bars to create a tall stack with reduced reach. This allows Reece to extend at the hips more, creating a tall, upright riding posture. However, doing this causes his center of mass to shift backward, disrupting the front-to-rear weight balance on the wheels. To counteract this and redistribute weight back...

5/11/2026 11:26am My question is why is it so complicated mechanically and with all the electronic suspension. Frameworks doesn’t seem to need all that extra stuff on it.

5/9/2026 12:27pm Ask them WTF were they thinking building out that Auburn spot having the team build this bike then recall everyone to MH, saying they have no money then charging 7k for a frame. The pricing seems like a miss but maybe they're trying to recoup. I suspect that they were told to build something as high end as possible. I...

5/9/2026 12:02pm Did specialized experiment with longer rear ends and taller stacks before settling on this geometry? Or is it based on Loic and Finn's apparent preference for shorter reach and chain stay and lower stack (that obviously works very well for them) and they just stuck to that? Was more travel (i.e. 220mm like commencal) considered and/or tried during prototype testing?

5/7/2026 7:49pm I only have 1 ride on the Romy so can't tell you how it fully is, but visually it is a very different tire than the other three. It compares more to a Dissector or Xynotol. Visually it seems like a fast rolling tire for harder conditions and may not be where you want to prioritize. Looks like a great mid travel trail bike Colorado tire if it holds up for me tbh. I have the Tacky Chan on the front, and it is much more aggressive tire that would be closer to those others. I was a bit surprised...

5/4/2026 8:37pm Not a suspension engineer, but curious about the leverage curve. Starting LR starts high-ish, like 3.35. That seems a bit higher than what we typically see for bikes of this travel (gut feel is 3-3.1 is most common), and the higher starting LR is more common with Cascade links & such. Was this a conscious choice given that it's an ebike, prioritizing having a very active starting suspension over pedaling efficiency?

4/30/2026 4:52pm Just a warning relative to the credit scores / general life harassment field; FedEx will 100% send you to collections if you don't pay a customs / tariff bill. They have already paid those fees on your behalf and you agreed to pay them back when you chose to use them as your customs broker. As a general "this is how the world actually works" explanation; even if Raaw had a brand new USA distributor, that USA distributor would pay the tariffs, factor that as the landed cost of the frame and price the frame accordingly to USA customers to...

4/30/2026 7:58am I got a raaw shipped this month. I think it was $280 and then fedex wanted $400 for tariffs. I haven't paid the tariff yet... Not sure how to approach it with how everything is going. A friend of mine in town got a raaw with a shock, I had one for my bike already. Plus he got an extra...

4/27/2026 7:21am Depending on how your suspension valving works, most of the time LSC largely affects HSC as it sort of acts as a "threshold" at which speed oil is forced through the high speed circuit. For example when running very little low speed damping most of the oil will (can freely) flow fast enough through the LSC orifice, no matter how fast the shaft speeds might be (you'll see very fast hs speeds when measuring). As soon as the low speed needle is closed off enough, oil has to flow through the high speed stack, as the orifice simply can't pass...

4/26/2026 6:20am 750d already existed in the same French sizing system that gave us 650b 700c etc: "In the French system, the first number is the nominal outside diameter in mm, followed by a letter code for the width: "A" is narrow, "D" is wide. The letter codes no longer correspond to the tire width, since narrow tires are often made for rim sizes that originally took wide tires; for example, 700 C was originally a wide size, but now is available in very narrow widths, with actual outside diameters as small as 660 mm." https://www.sheldonbrown.com/tire-sizing.html It was supposed to be replaced...
