Has anyone tried to get their speeds similar from one bike/suspension manufacture to another? I have a pretty good baseline setup on my enduro bike with Ohlins but my ebike with fox does not feel as good. I know that my bike is heavier but I can not achieve a similar level of comfort. I have tried a few different tune on the shock and nothing feels as plush as my analog bike.
Comparing the two bikes. The rebound on my ebike is faster but still feels slower. The compression is typically higher speed and does feel like less support. The fork pressure is higher than I would have ever tried but still less than my average position than my analog bike. I figured higher velocity compression would feel more plush and higher rebound speeds would feel more poppy. The easiest way to describe it is one of those moments when going down the trail you're smashing and you think you're about to pull up off some small root or rock and all of a sudden you feel like your bars are at your knees and your original plan is out the window.

This is almost certainly entirely driven by kinematics and it relationship to damper performance. Higher leverage -> softer damper due to the inverse shaft speed relationship.
The other factor is people often look at bottom-out resistance as a function of progression only; in truth bottom-out resistance is the total energy absorbed by the spring (area under the wheel for curve) AND a large function of damper, especially "high speed" compression adjustments on shocks.
In your case (a more progressive and heavy bike) it sounds to me like the harshness is probably coming from being under-supported. When a bike sits too deep in its travel (high dynamic sag) you can end up effectively reducing travel and bouncing off the end stroke. Very progressive bikes (>30%) can have very harsh end strokes which makes them feel like they have less travel than they do. First thing I would recommend is bumping air pressure 10-15 PSI to see if starts to ride better. On a second run I would try the higher pressure and the removal of a volume spacer (possibly with another 5psi of air to compensate). With a DAQ I would look at how that impacts your dynamic sag amount over some normal sections of trail.
