Honestly looks pretty good. Sometimes 29/27 mullets look a little weird because the jump in sizing. This looks just slightly bigger. The bike looks pretty proportional.

10/13/2026 8:10pm Have my first set of mineral oil brakes ever.. and a second set for another bike. Immediately not stoked. DOT> for me. Worth it for the power and feel of the brakes... but hate dealing with mineral. So annoying to clean. DOT has been so stupidly easy to deal with for my whole life of riding bikes. Easy to clean...

I’m on team DOT. It’s unbelievably easy to clean properly compared to always feeling like there’s mineral oil residue on everything even after an alcohol spray and wipe. Spilled DOT? Hose it down with water and move on with your life.

Maybe 3 or 4 years ago Wyn Masters gave Antoine his Privateer of the Week award and he interviewed Antoine. Antoine told how someone had stolen his bike and Loïc Bruni had given him one of his bikes so Antoine could race that week. I became a fan of Antoine's at that moment, and I recognized what a great guy Loïc was. It's little stuff like this that make me a fan of this sport.

Appreciate the feedback. I am curious about it all and want to try the aluminum. I do like how they feel but they definitely can beat my hands up when I am lapping every day. Part of lapping every day in Whis, but I would like to see if anything can help it. Now when you say trigger finger, it makes me want to get some for my wife to try. Her hands get hammered in the park and this year she had to take weeks off to let them rest a bit. Her trigger finger got bad this season...

Actually, the latest round of retail bikes were the Genio versions from Taiwan which is also what the whole team started out racing with this year. During one of the breaks, Asa rode one of Neko’s bonded prototypes and liked it so much he raced it for the last few WCs.

Burgtecs have always been stiffer side I think. I have been on stiffer bars between Burgtecs and Enves for a chunk of years. On a Ride High 38 right now on my V10. Love how direct it is but keep hearing about the comfort change going to something like the OneUp. Buddy said the OneUps are the only bars he's been able to stay lapping Whis every single day on and manage hand comfort. Did you do aluminum V2s?
