5/4/2026 1:51pm Hey John, TEAM ROBOT here. I'm curious about the new Tazer having the option for 29" or 27.5" wheels, and I'm especially curious to ask you because you've been so involved with the DH team as a mechanic and manager. And I'm asking this question as a tall person who has loved 29" rear wheels. I was surprised to see the new Tazer with the option for either rear wheel size, because ebikes are often turning into winch and plummet-only bikes, and for pure descending performance, companies and teams seem to be gravitating towards MX wheels. For instance, the Intense...

5/4/2026 10:19am TeamRobot, always love your input and questions on all the forums so I'm stoked to get to chat about this. So, lets start with offering both wheels options. This was actually an internal debate as I'm sure it is with most brands. Ultimately we came to the conclusion that giving our customers the choice will always be the best option. There are people who are very opinionated on what they want and we want to try and give everyone the option they prefer. It's not always as easy of a task or cheap as people think but we want people...

5/4/2026 9:55am Why only one chainstay between all sizes? ratios ranging from 1.68- 1.88 between sizes creates crazy different ride characteristics What was the idea behind keeping quite low stacks? Thanks for hopping on John, you are a legend.

5/2/2026 10:37pm Definitely a protection for loose rocks breaking the valve stem. I sheered one off last year from loose rocks. I saw that and was like dang, that’s smart thinking on this race. Small risk but they thought it was worth it to protect it

5/1/2026 3:55pm What are your thoughts on 101 line spotters per rider? What if they weren't allowed on track anymore? After the UCI.. or whoever it was put a video out of riders talking about phones in their pockets- it seemed some mentioned the use for constant communication with line spotters. How would line choice change and how tracks burned in change...

4/29/2026 10:37am The first race of the World Cup Downhill season means plenty of new things to try. Rick Schubert looks scouts the tech in South Korea to find everything from Reece's crazy setup to anti-lock brakes to prototype goods. Go fast, takes chances (with your tech). The stem heard 'round the world. Gamux going all in. Local race success has us wondering how it'll fair in the big leagues. Only out-of-the-box thing missing is a 32-inch wheel. FOX on the grind. ABS brakes on Giant Factory bikes? We're listening... Commencal Muc-Off tidy as always. Make your own "internal" routing. Loic's new...
