Gonna be a dick and point out that if you run smaller than a 32t, you don’t need a power meter, you need a gym. Edit: it’s not my opinion, just an uncomfortable matter of fact for why they don’t make power meters for 30t rings. I’m sure there are exceptions, like people riding fully loaded 87lb touring bikes who pump out 450 watts so they can go at a walking pace. Or Primoz who apparently lives in a magical land where rock climbing and mountain biking intersect.

Seems on brand for Syndicate…they’ve always been a bit…sorta corny. Neko Frameworks would be like “oh yeah I bought a few of these to try out and this guy likes it and that’s what that is there. Check me out look at this tight shirt!”

Then you didn't ride your actual mountain bike the same way a lot of us do. It's a vastly different sport. I have both if that matters.

This Just In! Stark Motorcycles is going to be joining the MTB world with its EBike Called the Stark “NotaMoto”. This ebike has 80 horse power and a gear box. Apparently they made the decision to join the bike industry after one of the executives said- “ I mean its all bullshit. You can buy an ebike from Specialized at the same price as our motorcycles. But with like 1/1000th the power. We should just put mountain bike wheels on a Varg and just sell it to them. Theyre just in denial that they want a motorcycle and want to...

This is not radial. "Low Bias" maybe, radial tires have ply oriented perpendicular to the rolling direction, and thats it. No one in this modern "radial" tire fad has made a radial tire yet. All just low bias.

I've heard about that. It's Enduro that's willing to give up its right to vote in order to disappear and be protected from the horrors happening to other racing genres. Right?

I dig it. If you want the bike in any color grab a rattle can, tape, and sandpaper from your local hardware store. Paint job should be the last reason to not want a bike.

That logo is bad, and Öhlins should feel bad for using it.

This is cool detail and makes my interaction with Specialized last year even more aggravating. The Status frame is only advertised as ASTM Cat 4 (i.e., no dual crown), yet they sell a complete version of the bike with a dual crown while advertising its ability to jump and ‘Freeride’. I called them on multiple occasions to try and figure...

For high frequency loads it can. AFAIK Hucking to flat or nose casing a jump would be a low frequency load and it would be reasonable to approximate it as static and assume that full force is transferred.

If you draw a free body diagram you’ll find that the forces are the same for a given A2C length. Stiffness doesn’t change forces applied. Dual crown rated mostly means that it won’t instantly be destroyed if a fork bumper hits the side of the frame.

I've used both the cane creek 5mm and the MRP 10mm crown race with a cane creek headset on a yeti sb150 with great results. Only downside is the crown race in both cases doesn't have a rubber lip to seal the bearing. Wasn't a big deal where I live in SW CO, but if you live in a muddy place ya might want a fender on the fork to minimize spray on the lower headset bearing.

Yes. It would be going on a rigid single speed bike. This is a bit of a Franken-bike project trying to chase an old Unit build that I never should have sold. I’ve attached a photo of that bike below so you all can laugh at me. I am looking at a couple options for the frame but they all...

Thank you both for the ideas. Again I need a 44EC Lower and I’d like to add 10mm to the stack-up height. It looks like Works makes reach adjust but nothing to add height. Pinner only has a 56mm headtube size stock, but may be able to custom make a 44mm. I’ll reach out. If any one else knows of...
