As a person in the bike indusrty for 30+ years, Owned a bike store for 6 years, And has owned 5 Yeti's one of which is still my favorite bike my 2021 SB 160E still going strong. Today was eye opening! The MGU and CVT is real. DJI is not a copycat, And will eat the big 3 bikes brands lunch now. And the sixfinaty Yeti pedal bike is around the corner. Weird day..

TEAMROBOT Liked a reply to forum topic Hope Introduces 6-Piston Brake for Big Bikes Only

So our initial hypothesis is that absolute braking power won't be significantly higher because of a minimal change in hydraulic ratio, but this design will see significant improvements in brake fade due to the larger thermal mass, bigger pad size, and 3.3mm vented rotor, as well as potentially better modulation? Is that about right? Seems like a lot of trouble to go to if you're not going to make the brake stronger. Yes, I get that brake fade is the devil, but when they went with six pistons I assumed "A LOT STRONGER" would be part of the sales pitch.

This is exactly how I feel about Mavens. Hayes felt like they had too much throw in the lever for me. Even after a fresh bleed. And not quite the same power as mavens. But to be fair they are excellent brakes and if I had to run them I’d be completely happy. Just don’t think they quite match maven...

Fairly surprised to read this. I've been running the Assegai for years, as well as many riding buddies. For the dry conditions we have out here on the Front Range, it has to be the most predictable tire I've ridden for any kind of Enduro/DH application. I've had no complaints with the MM Radial either.

It’s probably not the tire. A lot of other variables: fork pressure, fork damping, tire pressure, bar roll, stem length, rear shock sag, chainstay length, stack height Any of these can mess up your front end grip.

As a mostly analogue rider who also has an ebike, I was surprised at how rude, even nasty, a lot of guys on regular bikes are—even when you're as polite as possible trying to pass them on an ebike. Before I had an ebike, my buddies and I would kind of snicker at ebikers after they passed, but never to...
