Looks like there are a lot of but hurt yeti riders in here. Whats the big deal? People felt offended by a slogan and Yeti obliged and changed it. Can't y'all put yourself in someone else's shoes for a second? Should we only change things that EVERYONE agrees is bad?

Not sure why...more

What is it that you don't get about listening to others' feelings and opinions about things and taking them to heart? It's childish. Schoolyard bullies think its fun to push other kids on the ground, but we teach them not to because it hurts others. We don't say, "It's ridiculous...more

How is dropping the term going to hurt you? Its use hurts others, and it's not up to you to declare that it doesn't. Clearly, you just wish your viewpoint to be privileged over those of marginalized people. And yes, they are marginalized; the continued skepticism towards the wishes...more

This was sick with some great creativity. Definitely saw a few things I’ve never seen before

That was sick. Makes me want to put a front brake on my dirt jump bike and go get weird.

If you’d like some of the benefits of this fork, why not have a telescopic fork with an offset that’s achieved through the angle of the fork itself like that X fusion inverted fork. You’d get that shrinking offset as the fork uses its travel, but without giving up nearly as much comfort on landings.

Very few people look cool on a bike to non mountain bikers so honestly just wear what makes you feel safe

With a 34 tooth chainring, probably. But most people run 32 or 30 which will bring those numbers back up

Right but the trend of increase AS increases pedal kick and decreasing AS decreases pedal kick is generally the same, they can’t be tuned independently from one another

You’re sort of right. A high single pivot bike with 100% AS in a 32/10 combo will have a bunch of pedal kick (especially if it’s longer travel), but that pedal kick is negative, and actually occurs when the suspension extends instead of compresses. AS is a phenomena that has more to do with force vectors than actual chain growth, contrary to poplar belief.

Anti-squat and pedal kickback are two sides of the same coin. More of one, more of the other. If you want a bike with 100% anti-squat so it "pedals better" you will also have a bike with pedal kickback when it goes through bumps.

It’s honestly not more independent. Adding AS adds positive pedal kick and taking away AS adds negative pedal kick. The same as any bike.

I think you’re absolutely right. It’s a 130 bike so you will (probably) spend most of the time on less steep terrain where spending all your time in the middle of the cassette makes more sense

“The pivot and idler placement can also nearly eliminate pedal feedback” this isn’t entirely accurate in the case of the Druid. The graph shows a “traditional bike” with about 13° of pedal kickback, which is typically true for bikes when they’re in the middle of the cassette. Most bikes when in a 32/10 gear combo have 2-6° and I’d reckon that the Druid is in the 2-6° range as well in that gearing, just negative instead of positive.
