9/27/2026 9:01am This part. It makes me feel like a moron for working so hard at all my shit-paying jobs. Must be nice to be wildly incompetent and get either no repercussion or... OR maybe a bonus. Just because.

9/26/2026 1:50pm Do you really trust the ai to put the two stack heights in proportion when it couldn't hit even one other detail correctly?

9/21/2026 9:32am Dude, if you're doing 2-3 batteries in a day? Jeebus, Mary and Joseph! Impressive! We've talked about doing something like that. Strategically placing batteries (or even chargers), for the super epic rides. Turns out we're just downhillers at heart and just blast trails, rinse and repeat. We've already done the long epic trails on the regular bikes, long time ago. Now, with families, we can just ride locally, until our hearts are content, and be back in time for late lunch. Awe yeah....

9/17/2026 8:29am Removable batteries are bound to make a comeback right? Eventually downtubes won’t need to get any skinnier so the requisite wall thickness won’t come with an aesthetic cost

9/14/2026 7:11pm shoutout to @CascadeComponents for the being the group member we all wanted in those "beloved" school group projects, cool to see you show your work. p.s. if you were to build a long shock link kit for the stumpy 15, would you build it with high or low anti rise? 😂

9/14/2026 11:13am You clearly have not attempted to comprehend or use any of those equations then. You see that F2*μ*ycg term? Yeah that’s the moment about the contact patch due to braking force. That’s why when you solve the weight distribution equation you get 0.59 which is 51 kg.

9/13/2026 1:21pm All the DH race heads in the Sea to Sky have known Mack was going to do big things for the last couple of years. He's been turning heads in local, provincial, and national level races. So stoked to see him get on the podium on this stage. To take down World Cup racers at his age on a course like this is legit. This kid is the real deal. This is just the beginning.

9/13/2026 12:40pm How many composites engineers do you think are there in the whole industry? And how many stress analysists? FWIW, from what I've heard (obviously could be wrong or could be old info) apparently Yeti's process was quite similar. Engineering firm doing the suspension (Switch link was done by Sotto Design Group for example, not sure what the situation is like for Switch Infinity or Sixfinity) and an industrial design firm doing the surface modelling of the frame (the 'looks') and an overseas firm doing molds, carbon layup based on their experience, testing, if it breaks, strengthen the breaking point, once...

9/13/2026 6:26am Each brake is liable to contribute a significant amount to total braking force. Only using one is always going to do noticeably less and the slope angle at which you can no longer hold yourself will get significantly shallower in angle. Sometimes the rear brake will do significantly less than the front, but if grip is bad and you’ve got your weight shifted rearward the front brake might be doing way less than you’d think. There’s a lot of merit to the larger rear brake rotor idea if you’re racing a steep loose track. Kind of ironic to me because...

9/11/2026 2:12pm My personal bike has multiple layers of 15mm kapton tape on the hoops. It’s just wide enough to cover the spoke holes and leaves the rim beds wide open. Even with a bunch of layers it’s so thin that you would have a hard time catching your bead on it. I can’t recommend it enough
