17 hours ago Sure can, sticky linkage will throw sag measurements off, measuring sag can be even used to estimate if your bearings need service. Good guide is published in motorcycle suspension bible.

6/7/2026 9:11am Hm, one has to wonder why factory riders are using split lower crowns to make them less stiff then 🙄

6/4/2026 6:56am I agree with the hot take because the Status you’re talking about is a complete bike where the Torrent frame only is $3k. The TR11 frame is $400 cheaper with much more adjustment and a spot for a water bottle. (Which any non-race, park bike should have) Im not falling for Norco trying to gaslight us with no adjustability as a feature, especially if they’re charging more than the competition. Many people have flip chips and headset cups they never touch, and that’s fine they don’t subtract anything from the ride experience for them. For us nerds (target market of...

Jakub_G Added a comment about press release Wolf Tooth Collabs With Joe Breeden to Create the Locked-in Bar Ends
5/22/2026 2:02am Now I only have to wait till it's available in the EU market to not pay crazy shipping fee on top of already not cheap bar ends. Hopefully it won't take that long.

5/17/2026 12:59am Take it easy buddy. I’m not trying to derail the entire conversation but also think it’s allowed to have an aside now and again. There’s plenty of off topic quips that go on in this thread.

5/11/2026 10:53pm Would love to see this convo moved over to a thread called “thermoplastic debate/discussion” or similar. This is a dead end technology for now but I understand that a lot of you like talking about it.

5/5/2026 3:26am Brake fade is pad and rotor dependent, both of those are interchangable, no one is boiling braking fluid in MTB, mineral or DOT.

5/4/2026 6:51am Stronger brake is stronger brake regardless of who is riding it, just like lighter lever action is lighter no matter who pulls the lever. They are brakes attributes, not riders attributes.

5/2/2026 2:28am To be honest changing the spline is not that much engineering work, especially since Ochain has already done the work... It could be one small interchangeable part even. I understand and mostly agree with what you are saying, but in this specific case it is 100 % keeping the garden walled.

4/30/2026 12:53pm I wrote this on Pinkbike but will crosspost here to as I firmly believe ABS should not be involved in WCDH. I'm all for innovation in DH and I am absolutely fine with electronics in suspension but I strongly believe that ABS has no place in competitive DH. Braking ability and threshold braking are massively important skill that do separate riders. Having a system that would theoretically allow a rider to just full pull brake but not lock the wheels would be a huge advantage on most tracks and certainly would for low grip tracks or conditions. Formula One as...

4/29/2026 7:27am Thicker rotors only reduce lever travel (which comes from less of a gap between pads and rotor) till the pads are worn a bit and the caliper seals let the pistons slip out a bit to make up for some of the wear. Then, the lever throw is only depending on the seal roll back of the caliper piston seals. The same effect can be achieved by pumping the brakes and by that advancing the pistons slightly before you insert a thinner rotor.
