New Specialized Enduro will drop early summer of 2027. It will come specced with a genie zeb fork. It will have a Genie vivid air, that is mounted vertically directly in front of the seat tube. The rear layout will look similar to a 2012 era Demo 8, but with a link that comes around the seat tube to the top of the shock.

I’m not convinced wireless shifting on bikes is that much better for the added cost or that Shimano will be left behind if they make this cable. For e-bikes yes, where it can be connected directly, but fortunately dh racing isn’t electric (yet) For privateers is having a £500 mech on your bike really the difference between the top step or a top 20? Ready for some new brakes next year but gold levers would put these at the very bottom of the list, just behind jamming my foot between frame and tyre

For the current saint brakes, the calipers are beefed up but they actually have the same size pistons as XT and XTR - just a slightly different servowave ramp built into the lever. If the new saint brakes get released and it turns out that they also have the exact same size pistons as XTR, I'll be very disappointed in Shimano. We have waited far too long for these saint brakes to end up having 5% more power than XTR.

You can see the dust from the rock strike that damaged the chain. For some reason he wasn't running a bashguard, or maybe it broke off from the same rock strike. No surprise that the chain broke.

That pic was taken at 27. My understanding is that bike was an unreleased Diamondback proto.

The pivot team has been ripping whistler laps and a few of them have custom lugged rear ends. It has a chainstay length flip chip built in - shown in middle setting here.

I installed hardwired Di2 on to my Bosch Wild with 11 speed Linkglide. I removed a SRAM 11 speed so the weight gain was significant which in my head bummed me out, although it's the exact same weight as GX T-Type. Imagine my surprise when not only was the gear spread much nicer, not only did I gain a lot of functionality, not only does the Linkglide shift positively and amazing (95% as smooth as T-type, but faster), not only did my running cost go way down and my relaibility went way up, but shockingly my rear suspension instantly got...

I would bet my whole fleet of bikes on it still being plastic bullshit that will break when a pixie farts 2 miles away. I think the only person more stubborn than the twinloc guy at Scott is the "maguras must be plastic bullshit" guy.

I looked into the patent and unfortunately they have you beat by a few months. Provisional was filed in March of 2025. Provisional patents are a great way to buy yourself time to fully decide if you want to pursue something while getting a foot legally in the door and not spending a ton of money. It gives you a year to decide if you want to proceed with a full on patent and doesn't have to go through the same review process so pretty much anyone can file one.

SRAM owes me royalties. I called it in June of last year.

Commencal quietly dropped the Tempo "V2" with the only revision being they got rid of the headset cable routing. (praise be!)

I have been running a 32" front wheel on my epic all year. Started out with my normal 35mm stem and riser bars and I had a hard time keeping the front end under control. Tried out a drop stem and it brought my weight back forward and the front end was much better. Bike is very fun still and very fast. I personally think it still handles very well even in the tight stuff. Despite the wild looking stem it's comfortable and feels normal.
