As a mostly analogue rider who also has an ebike, I was surprised at how rude, even nasty, a lot of guys on regular bikes are—even when you're as polite as possible trying to pass them on an ebike. Before I had an ebike, my buddies and I would kind of snicker at ebikers after they passed, but never to their face. I figured I'd see some of this once I got one, but I was surprised at how rude some "analogue" riders are for no reason, and how often it happens. It's pretty much an every-other-ride occurrence, which is...

Seems like sram has a new dropper lever+flight attendant button combo. Comes on the new scott spark models that has flight attendant but no axs dropper. For example, Specializeds Epic 8/9 pro models with flight attendant and wired dropper, just comes without a pod for the flight attendant, which I always thought was strange.

It's gonna suck having to rebuild the wheel chasing creaks.

Name a more annoying sound than an American complaining about ebikes. Honestly, we've all heard your opinions before. We know you have them. I don't really like or want an ebike either but there are 12,000,000 whingy comments online about how you're too pure or too dedicated or too fit or too angry at unskilled riders and you're mad about it. We don't need any more. Talk about the market or discontinuation of normal bikes, sure, but complaining about being passed on a climb track or peoples ass cracks is tiring af at this point. You've been yelling about it...

Yo dawg! We put your shock inside your frame so it’s covered and we put a hole in your shock cover so your shock isn’t covered when it’s covered 🤘

Maybe it's a subsidized assembly fee or something. I don't know how Spesh works, but when someone buys a Norco online they pass on the normal margin to the shop that gets the bike and assembles it for the customer which makes it not a problem for the dealers that they sell online through their own website.

100%, a high margin inventory mover. Fine for me, will get them to the levo 5 more quickly.

Mom, can we get this SUV ebike? No, we have one of those at home. The one at home: These originally retailed for 7500. Full XT, and it is full suspension. Now you can find them for 1500. It is a weird big old Caddy feeling of a bike, but with a Bosch Performance motor and is class 3.
Seems totally fair since they use the same frame for the Levo, Levo R and Levo EVO. Really thought they'd have redone something like Levo SL for what became the R. But same huge battery and stuff for short travel? The EVO was pretty fun to ride, but I perhaps was just enamored with the new RS Linear XL suspension...

You are correct, thanks for making mention before I could catch up in this thread. On longer climbs I would take the chain off but most times I just wouldn't care to. The bigger problem was the chain length in my largest rear cog when using the lower guide, only a problem during climbing though. The system was great while descending. But I just run the ochain now instead of the lower guide because it's manages the chain whipping and is less faff.

The Torrent isn't for bike nerds. It's for people that set it and forget it and spend their day lapping A-Line and Dirt Merchant. And for that purpose, the Torrent sounds like a perfect bike. Simple, reliable (hopefully) and affordable.

Extremely hot take in the bad way lol. Marin makes awesome bikes, I regularly check them out. Transition as well, albeit a little spendier but also more dialed (imo). The only reason I don’t buy either is because I already own a 6 year old Norco that has given me zero reasons to spend money on a new bike,
