I have literally been trying to file a third-party preissuance submission with the US Patent Office for 2 hours but their website and phone menus are dogshit so I'm giving up. It would have been hilarious if submitting a pdf of vital comments is what got a patent not approved. Anyone got contacts at SRAM? Would be good to at least contact them lol.

I have been running a 32" front wheel on my epic all year. Started out with my normal 35mm stem and riser bars and I had a hard time keeping the front end under control. Tried out a drop stem and it brought my weight back forward and the front end was much better. Bike is very fun still and very fast. I personally think it still handles very well even in the tight stuff. Despite the wild looking stem it's comfortable and feels normal. If you're renting a DH bike, I STRONGLY RECOMMEND shopping around for a rental bike that has an air shock. One of the worst days of bike riding in my life was renting my dream DH bike in Whistler and being stuck on the wrong rear spring rate. I assumed the shop would swap coils for me to get me on the right spring rate, but no. If you're on the wrong spring rate, ain't nothing you can do to make the bike feel better. It's going to ride like doodoo. With an air shock you're never going to get...
