I’d agree that at this point the patrol and spire probably have no point in both existing, but I’d prefer if they marched them and kept the patrol name and ditched the spire for the sake of legacy. IMO the patrol was the springboard that has shaped the transition we know today.

Disagree. These riders are pushing the absolute limits of the sport and Rampage is the absolutely pointiest end of the stick. The fact of the matter is athletes make their own decisions and accidents happen. Adolf's accident was tragic, but literally everyone around him has been telling him it was stupid and he shouldn't do it for years. That accident is entirely on him. Emil's accident was an accident. It was a routine trick for him, but accidents happen. I think blaming these accidents on judging takes away from acknowledging the skill, ability and self awareness of the athletes. No...
