I say it all the time: 12 speed is just not meant for ebikes. Zero problems on Microshift Advent MX 11 speed: steel cassette with a Linkglide chain. Same for Deore 11sp. Even then with my Shimano motor de-tuned to 60nm I only get 500mi out of a chain. I pedaled an Orbea Wild Avinox around in a parking lot recently and am not surprised this happened in the slightest. After working on a open reservoir akin to hope's brakes that definetly is messier than the cup, I still prefer the reservoir. There is gunk and old oil that does not escape the system unless you flush with copious amounts of oil. The bleed was super simple too, as I just pumped the oil from the caliper to the lever.

Did anyone ever find out what brand this bike is?

Not necessarily a tech rumour, but PB posted an interesting article regarding pedal kickback (or lack thereof, unless you experience very fast (6m/s) shock compression paired with very slow bike speed). Worth the read if you haven't yet, and there are some nifty graphs. I think the next task of whoever did the testing should be on steerer tube shake weights.

After. It was one of the more comical experiences I’ve had with bike links. I don’t weigh a lot and I kept having to add more and more air to get sag (near max pressure and I’m only 150 lbs). So it was obvious something wasn’t right. Went to check the machining and the simulated machined part didn’t match the modeled part despite all the tool paths being up to date. Strangely the thing cleared full travel. Bounced on it a little for the fun of it… 170 mm of travel with a 45 mm shock stroke is probably one...

I don’t even know if that will happen! But if I had to make a rumor, it would be that Cascade is going to make a 170 mm Tallboy link. *this may have happened at one point due to a CAD software glitch

I've taken all the advice here and raised the pressure a few pounds from what I ran on my Assegei and DHR. I took the bike out last night with 30 in the front, and 32 in the rear. It absolutely ripped. It felt like less rolling resistance while also MORE grip. The grip-off-jump issue was lessened but not eliminated. I'll have to experiment with other casings, or compounds / tires, as others have suggested in the comments. Thanks all, for setting me on the best path.
