I think the depression of the current market may work to Specializes advantage. Specifically in the marketing side of things. Right now a lot of hard core people look at enduro bikes and shrug their shoulders because 140-150mm travel frames can be customized to take such a beating. But everyone outside of this hardcore label with money will eat up Specialized marketing. That their Enduro bike will be 10 years in the making. They will advertise this thing as the second coming of Jesus for the enduro genre. It will be a new beast, unlike the old generation of enduro...

DH bike really just need more chainring protection like below (Myriam Nicole's bike). I used to do similar on my DH bikes- ran the OG Evil full bashring on the outside of the chainring and a taco style guard on the inside. Or this- DIY bike: This thing is just a loop of steel tube welded to the DT/BB. Would probably support the weight of a car. Guessing 75% of the chain issues we see are due to riders smashing the chain into rocks...

Damn, I always wrote off the canyons in general, just cause I’ve Seen so many broken torques in our shops …. But I will say! 518 reach baby! -and plus 8mm cups? 455 stays at sag? That’s a compelling bike ….. when the tech rumors slow down …. You can always deep dive a random bike geometry

It does sorta look like the top of galby. I haven’t been up there in a while, and I heard there’s a taco truck and a flannel shop near the radio tower now. Look great. I bet they are great. Won’t buy them for 3 years because shimano. Just shinano’nn stuff. Appreciate that they take their time but my last two shimano brake sets were nightmares on the trail, and in the stand. I learned a lot about bad design and I learned not to rush to buy shimano - oddly like sram...

The kneepads-always-on crew clearly ain't from my neck of the woods. If you do a big climb in the southeast in July or August, removing your shoes to put your kneepads back on at the top of a climb gives you the opportunity to also remove your socks and wring the sweat out of them. Bonus of taking knee pads on and off is that you can link that activity in your mind to disengaging the climb switch on your shock and unwinding LSC on your fork back to its normal setting. For me, those two things always go together...
