I'll bite on the "Pardus to World Tour" news. They've been on my radar for a few years as one of the first factories-turned-brands. It's entirely possible to objectively discuss economic impact factors which originate from governments without being a shitlord troll about it. If you talk to an investment advisor about what sectors and companies are facing headwinds, they do exactly that (the objective discussion, not reddit troll mode).

Where are you looking for durability? Different options for different needs. You can go lighter and still have great durability, but there's always a tradeoff between ultimate abrasion resistance and weight/comfort/heat. I designed Abit Gear pants for everything below except the heavy fabric. NF has good options if you want the pants equivalent of DH tires. You guys are welcome to keep debating this stuff, but I'd prefer it didn't happen here. I recognize that politics impacts the bike industry, and discussing those impacts objectively is absolutely fair game. But turning this thread into a debate over how terrible one politician or another is on the world stage isn't really where I hoped the conversation would go. There's plenty of room for that elsewhere.

Reasonably certain it was a case of the Pike being an older chassis over the Lyrik. Nothing to do with performance, just timelines.

if it wasn't clear in the broadcast, only one bike could be used on race day, riders could not switch bikes. some riders (asa, jake, mitch and others i think), trained on ebikes to get laps but used regular bikes for the race. i heard asa say "i can corner better on my frameworks," so there were definite trade offs depending on bike choice. at the test/qualifying races climbing was supposed to be scored, not sure why they decided against it for finals. the climb has to be attempted by all competitors if they want to get an overall score...

I think you’re both missing the point of the Tempo. It’s not supposed to be a light efficient trail bike, it’s meant to be a short travel bike that you hammer like an enduro bike, same as the Forbidden Druid (which also comes with a Lyrik/36). Nobody is buying a Tempo to count grams or ride blue trails. The 36 is the right fork for the bike’s intentions. I’d personally also spec gravity tires on it.

Me. I’m the one who will probably buy one. I am not a more travel is better guy. I’ve run hardcore hardtails for many years as my ‘trail’ bike mostly because I couldn’t find a 120mm frame I felt like I could hammer. This is Cat 5 rated. And comes with a Lyric. Sign me up!
