J'aime bien le franglais, "Speach stop" Speech? J'ai fait bcp de kiné aussi ce saison estival pour le nerf aux bras/poingee/coudres. Its truely a mystery where it started from my nerve problems in my arms, wrists and elbows. How long it will last is a big question, it has greatly improved tho. On top, there is a tiny chance of age related arthritis. The mystery of nerve issues & previous injuries definitely could be a factor for Bruni's slow return. The only benefit for us fans is that if he returns fit he could stay around for a few more...

Coolest part of this photo is the retro kit. Tired of every rider kit looking like a Nascar style branded gimp suit.

Outland season for us was 1996, we ran outland frames with Mongoose decals, season prior in 1995 when leigh won worlds, we rode handmade Nicolai frames with mongoose decals (And the last 2 seasons on Mongoose, were Intense M1's with mongoose decals....we basically started that whole fad of riding for a bike brand that did not make DH worthy bikes and the moment Leigh and Lopes rode Palmers intense-it was game over "we have to ride that frame")...so that being said, the outland season was insane; we headed to first world cup in panticosa Spain, I brought 2 spare front...

Kailey Skelton's tire exploded off the wheel (I think it was in the 2nd sector). She borrowed a knife from a spectator and cut the tire free and then rode almost all the way down the hill on a bare wheel, crossing the finish line on foot.

In general I think people really underestimate the amount of braking force the rear wheel can generate. While weight does transfer to the front under braking, the initial weight distribution is skewed towards the rear (in the realm of 2/3rds of your weight on the rear wheel). Until enough weight transfers to the front wheel, which isn’t instantaneous, the rear can out brake the front. Food for thought for anyone wondering why some racers might have a larger rear brake rotor. My biggest gripe with low anti-rise is trying to creep into steep rocky things. The braking causes the bike...

I’m genuinely confused about the ‘pitching forward on steeps’ critique of low AR. Rear brake doesn’t do jack (pun intended) on really steep stuff. If you’re hard on the rear brake you’re skidding and sliding out. The pitching forward concern makes more sense to me when going fast on what I consider moderate grades-lots of rear brake force in that...

I would say that no, it’s not worth it even if an STFU masks most of the noise. I had an STFU on my insanely chain-slap happy bike and one of the loops came off only after a couple rides, flopped into the spokes and got destroyed. Gravity MTB is not really a place where marginal gains make sense, I think the real performance gains comes from rider confidence. The sound of silence is bliss because you’re not riding and constantly trying to asses if that clang indicates that something is about to snap in half, or if it’s just...

When did you check in with Rockshox about that service? In December 2025 I had my bike shop reach out to them over the phone (while I was listening on speakerphone) and they said that they can't do tunes on their shocks and we'd have to get it tuned somewhere else. If that's changed since then, that would be awesome!

Since you’re basically paying for a rebuild already when you get a tune, shopping used shocks in the shock model you’re looking for can be a great way to save money. In most cases you can just shop the eye to eye and get the stroke adjusted as part of the rebuild.

Worth mentioning that Rockshox and Fox will both re-tune shocks for customers (for around $225 USD), and as a part of that service they help you identify the right tune for your bike. They won't always have a perfect answer, but a lot of the time they've already worked with the brand to sort out tunes for their bikes, so they often times they can tell you the tune that your bike's brand recommends. If they don't have that exact information, they're also pretty helpful at making educated guesses, and they have all the same resources at their disposal to...

You can contact the bike brand to see if they have a preferred tune for the bike (your Bullit) for the shock you plan to use. If yes, get that info from them and/or see if they have a shock tuner/service company they work recommend. If no, you can still ask if they have someone they recommend but you just won't have as much of a head start. If they recommend someone, contact them and talk through some options. If they don't recommend anyone, find someone who seems reputable and talk to them. I was trying to get a Rockshox...

Lots of used Push Eleven Sixes on Pinkbike, assuming they have a Bullit tune you can just send it in to get retuned. Telum is excellent on the Bullit though, very happy with mine.

How does one go about getting the right aftermarket tune for RockShox? I’m looking for a coil for my Bullit and I’ll consider anything reliable (not Fox). Only real requirement I have is hydraulic bottom out since I keep bikes for a long time and bottoming hard breaks stuff. I find I really like custom tuned rebound, feels so good...

It just goes to show that the actual tune of the shock has a lot to do with how the shock performs on a bike.

@sspomer and @Jason_Schroeder I just listened to the recent Inside Line pod where y'all were perplexed by the Avinox haters. I wanted to provide some honest insight into this: for many of us, it's because they're higher power than Class 1 and we worry that they're going to jeopardize e-bike trail access. I'd like to see DJI and Specialized eat...
