Don't see an edit button: The best info on batteries and efficiencies is this article: https://ebike-mtb.com/en/e-bike-motor-test-range-efficiency-vertical-ra… Unfortunately the test does not have the M2S, but in a different test they confirmed the 3% gain. One caveat to the "watt is a watt", is that manufacturers can print whatever number they want, for instance Specialized's 840Wh battery which by most metrics is smaller than a Bosch 800Wh. So it is possible that the Avinox 700Wh has a few more available Wh than advertised.

The dirt up in the PNW is like silk compared to the crap we have down here, which is like 60 grit sandpaper. (I grew up near Seattle, and work in a construction field that deals with boring/excavating.) That, coupled with people wanting to build and ride steep PNW-like trails down here, is a recipe for tire abuse.

Thank you to whoever recommended the High Roller for Colorado trails. This might be my new favorite front tire.

I can speak from recent experience it’s a few times over $600 even with good insurance. Also didn’t help they needed to CT scan most of my upper body... Even as a recreational rider I wear the Fox Baseframe Pro every time I ride, even light trail riding. I’ll welcome any advancements for pros and weekend warriors. After coming close to breaking my back on this last spill I’ll take the extra bone insurance and defer my groupset upgrade. And after watching Luca go 50 mph and Millie nearly throw off the Earth’s rotation, glad most riders should have options...

I'm 100% with you. I'm flat out disappointed by the wear on my rear Soft TC. I ride the same conditions and experienced the same wear... the soft is just too soft to hold up on ANY type if bike. If the TC was meant for purely race runs only as stated above then that should be somewhere in the tons of new marketing Schwalbe has put out recently.

Without whipping out a ruler is the spacing all that different than a DHR 2? My position would be more about the "soft" seeming to be very, very soft for a rear tire. An Albert Soft held up better but not substantially more. This is my first time trying a TC so maybe I should have expected this? Any who... off to try an EC radial.

This isn't impossible as, in French, we WB choose Florian Letondeur as co-commentator on side of Eurosport one. Flo is the guy behind Fast As French YouTube and Instagram channels. Flo is doing an amazing job bringing is knowledge and insights of the sport to a sport generalist TV broadcaster. It take some time, as before that the commentary was like two random commentators knowing absolutely nothing about our sport (apart of their incomplete stats sheets) trying to adapt MotoGP/Formula 1 commentary on something they absolutely didn't understand ( Do you think this dude is on wet or intermediate tires...

They're starting a company and building a factory to get to 30 million electric motors per year by 2030? Per year? 30 million? Is this a joke? Should that be billion? I work for a moderately small automotive supplier in freaking Slovenia and we probably make more than a million electric motors from our designs, by components, in a year. I'm not taking into account all the small DC motors from the likes of Johnson which are a commodity. I'm talking about stepper motors and BLDC drives that are similar to what's in ebike drives. Is the state of manufacturing...

I ride a lot of quick, steep laps on trails that are a mix of hardpack and loose sandy dirt. There's a lot of coarse sand in both that is highly abrasive. Tight spacing tires like the Albert do not work well in it as they float in the loose rather than punch into it. I also dislike the Assegai...

Yup, I'm enjoying the TC but after 3 weeks on my ebike, the rear knobs are almost worn down through the sipes already (Soft rubber), back edge of side knobs is starting to tear off. Doing a bike trip next weekend and that'll probably finish it off. It's a nice tire but I will almost certainly go back to Maxxis...

MaxxTerra High Roller 3 would be great for the e-bike crowd. Race tires are cool, but e-bike tires are (I’m guessing) what pays the bills.

Yeah the HR3 being such a race oriented, mixed conditions tire the priority specs were the high grip options. Because this tire is so good in the dry and dusty conditions as well it's on our radar to look at a more durable option at some point. The new pattern will be a hit hopefully; it's been a bit of a special project of mine and it's been really fun to see the race success and the bit of hype in the prerelease.

I read that as: YT will continue to provide support for the Decoy SN as long as they're able to get parts through the Fazua dealer network. Probably something that was translated German to English. I was talking to a couple local guys who ended up buying Heckler SLs after talking to me about mine last year, and were bummed...

Seriously, people have expressed concern over handing over their data to a Chinese company like Avinox but if you sync your phone to anything to do with Marc Andreessen (a16z) you might as well be giving it directly to the CIA. He’s not exactly shy about it
