Cartert Bilawchuck is a 16-year old who made his own bike, it ended up looking incredibly polished - and rad ( it was a lock for Vital BOD of course too)! Not enough data points yet to determine if this is good setup or not. Reece's 2025 WC finishes: 6 missed finals and 22nd place average for the 3 finals he made. His best result came from Lake Placid, a new track that all riders had to puzzle over. What we could infer, is that Reece is a quick learner and can dissect new tracks better than many racers but that, eventually when all the racers catch up and learn the track, his avg race speed is still slower than the top 20. nothing? they are the only ones making their own controls and the only ones integrating an electric dropper that is powered by the ebike's battery. one could say they are the first company offering their own ebike UI. everyone else is on stock controllers

Yeah, go ahead and put a 29 x 2.3 tire on a 700c road bike. Hell go try to put a 45C tire on a road bike. Hell some road bikes won’t even clear a 32. I don’t know what the hell you guys are trying to say but you’re wrong and it has nothing to do with the fact that 32 inch wheels are than 29. If you are a racer there is no chance in hell that you are going to leave speed on the table. Our sport will continue to evolve so long as people keep racing...

People seem to joke about this, but were apparently fine with forks basically just smashing themselves in to the bottom of the lowers with next to no protection, since time immemorial.....Its like that reassuring CLANG and jarring through the hands is what they needed to know you got your monies worth!

I bought one of these in 2018 for $6000 AUD ($4275) the spec was ridiculous, fox factory front and back, shimano di2, saint brakes etc with double down tyres it still only weighed 22kg. Sure it was ugly as sin, but chucking a 29 inch front wheel on that bike it was amazing. so 8 years later, we are catching up at triple the cost. ~22kg. The only difference is peak power and 300wH more battery? yes, it was ugly as sin. But the ability to swap a battery in 10 seconds was nice.

This is an awesome option for people who bought bikes with Zeb R or RC dampers, especially because the kit includes a valving kit for internally tuning the mid and high speed compression. Cool to see! Hope it rides as well as the rear shock.

No, definitely not just tuning via the base valve. But it is modified from stock for all the options being tested. The stock base valve setup on the Bomber CR/Fox Van is quite stiff and uses belleville washers. All three tuning options (Avalanche Racing, Fluid Focus, and Shockcraft) remove the belleville washers and convert the base valve to a more traditional shim stack. All three use different base valve tunes, and Avalanche uses a different needle for the bleed (LSC clicker) as well. Fluid Focus and Shockcraft both use a different main piston, while Avalanche uses the stock main piston...

Bravo, this is excellent work. I think the changes make a lot of sense from a product perspective, if I were shopping for a DH frame the shortish and possibly weakish rear end would put me off.

That's a good looking bike. I have a 2025 crafty xr, and the 150mm of travel feels more like 170mm. This should be pretty impressive performance wise.
