Yeah, I can't tell how much of the hype around the DHX as a "dry conditions tire" (whatever that means) is an accurate description of its performance window vs. talking points from Maxxis to create clear product differentiation within their lineup. Mammoth is dry, but it's so dry you want to run HR3's or full mud spikes. So what does "dry conditions" even mean? I'm excited to try this tire at some point, because I live in the land of actual dry conditions year round. Can't tell if this will be a front Assegai replacement for me, a front HR3...

The patent was never actually granted. It was issued a non-final rejection based on being an obvious combination of prior art. If you don't respond to that within a certain window the patent office considers it abandoned. So anyone that wants can have at it.

Where did you read that Hope is marketed as Goodrige? I’ve never seen that, as far as I know it’s their stuff, when asked they told me not Goodrige Radic as far as I know same thing, used to use 6mm Goodrige as Trickstuff but now uses something else ( that I find too soft/rubbery/wiggly ) I do agree the differences you find are the same in my experience, the raw Goodrige looks the best, but imo is pure garbage, splits incredibly easy making it a pita to work on, and, it saws through everything if not perfectly held in...
