My two cents on anti-rise... First and foremost, it depends on the trails you are riding. There isn't a universal value that's best on everything. Low angle trails, especially one's where you're trailing the brakes to maintain speed, favor low anti-rise. On the other hand, steep trails and/or trails where you're hard on the brakes favor higher anti-rise. Sure low anti-rise can make for more active suspension, but it's impossible for your suspension to be active at all when it's fully extended. Having the rear go to full extension also really messes up geo usually when you're in a scenario...

Yeah, that was my bad. I should have put a pic with it! Was hesitant cuz not Spesh but appreciate the follow up. I still need to write up a bike check on here. In the meantime, here’s a pic of it from high country season. It’s had some parts changes over the years and more coming at it soon. This is about where it’s at currently (now has HR3s F/R) . First up, thank you to the Vital team for presenting our product here! Since a few questions came up, I wanted to chime in and clarify a bit what we mean by the Tune Adjusters. As @Slavid666 analyzed pretty much spot-on, the High-Speed Tune Adjuster changes the port configuration underneath a non-preloaded tapered shim stack. With each adjuster position, one additional port is closed off, changing the hydraulically loaded area of the stack. The shim stack itself stays exactly the same, but the way it is loaded changes, which therefore changes the slope of the resulting force-velocity curve. That is...

My Vessel dh bike has 16mm of r/c adjustment in 3mm increments with an 8mm bb height adjustment that is independent of any suspension kinematics due to BB system design. If it works like they claim they’ll be beating Vorsprung to the punch in fork dampers. Steve stated in the latest podcast with Remy that the fork damper they’re working on is aiming to have similar tune-ability as the Telum.

Regarding wire bead and tubeless, it could actually be an advantage for bike park riding and general hooning. I had an interesting conversation with Pierre-Edoard Ferry about tire development last summer because he was one of the riders involved in developing Michelin's new DH tire line in 2016-ish, including the DH22 and DH34. I was curious why they went with wire beads on the new tires instead of folding. Wire beads are cheaper to manufacturer, but more expensive to ship and store, more difficult to merchandise at a bike shop, and heavier. Didn't make sense to me. He told me...

8/11/2026 2:43pm My statement about it being an ellipse is somewhat misleading; it's more of a stepped clamp that mimics changing the clamp shim in that it alters the slope of the force vs velocity damping curve. Hope the pictures help explain what I am describing. *EDIT: Yes, this is used in both forks and shocks for HSC adjustment.
