10/14/2024 3:29pm TBH DH bikes didn't progress much tech wise until the term Kinematics even became commonplace in MTB vernacular, that was only really in the last 5-6 years. 10/14/2024 11:12am I think that its worth taking into consideration that suspension quality over quantity plays a big part of it. Less travel that has better kinematics will feel like it has more bump eating capability than its longer legged opponent. My Raaw Madonna only has 160mm of travel but compared to my stumpy evo that extra 10mm feels a lot more...

10/8/2024 2:34pm This is my primary gripe with bleeding edge, ive stumbled on the same solution and can confirm that it works wonders, the pressurization part. Only thing about my Radic's that I can't stand is the inclusion of the Bleeding Edge fitting. Id kill it with fire if I could.

The damper is pretty consistent. Damper fluid is designed to have consistent viscosity across a wide range of temperatures… that is the whole reason to have a special oil. Plus the fact that shim valves aren’t terribly sensitive to viscosity in the first place. I’ve run these experiments on a dyno FYI- small % changes at most. Air springs on the other hand gain noticeable pressure when hot. I’m always a bit skeptical when someone complains about their coil shock becoming a pogo stick due to heat. I hate how much tires cost and will complain every time I have to buy new ones, BUT, the reality is, when we're paying $130-150(cad) per tire, it would be like buying Michelin Cup 2 R's or or BFG Baja T/A KR3. Those are super high performance tires that are $1000+ each and made for Porsche's, Ferrari's and trophy trucks. And let's be honest, in the world of bikes, most of us are riding Porsche's, Ferrari's and trophy trucks. I still hate that we have to spend $130+ on tires.

Hard to describe other than it’s really good. The amount of support and damping it provides is unreal. I’ve already dropped from a 55lb/in to a 50lb/in spring and might even try a 45lb/in. Only using 2/3rds of the travel I was using with a heavily modified charger 2.1 in my Lyrik on my over-forked stumpy Evo. Even with using less travel it feels way less harsh in sustained chunk. Lots of grip everywhere.
