Ebikes erase hills, headwinds, and polls. DH bike and an eeb. Dealer’s choice on the eeb, they’re all better than every pedal bike. Easy peasy!

Not sure how far you have to go back but I have talked about it. I’ve just put in a claim for my 4th M1 motor… to see if I can get one of the quieter ones. 😅 M2s is quiet as is Bosch G5… we’ve seen more Bosch warranties through our shop than Avinox in this last year.

Siick dual rate spring from Mojo Suspension (EXT UK) on this TR11 Would be so good if something like this made it to production. Would blow all of the so called adjustable/progressive springs out of the water

Take what up with Avinox? It was you that said the M1 wad inefficient. I just said from someone who actually has and uses one that it us not. The fact that the M2s is better is irrelevant… i mean why would they release a new version if it wasn’t better

Bosch does not have heart rate controlled assist yet. You can integrate and see your heart rate but having the assist automatically adjust to your heart rate in real time is still exclusive to Avinox. If you’re using an ebike as a training tool, that is undeniably very enticing.

So far all the criticism of Avinox in this thread has been from people that haven’t spent any time on bikes equipped with it. I’ve drafted numerous responses as someone who owns, rides and sells Avinox. But its just not worth it, the cognitive dissonance in here is ridiculous. Some people are just committed to hating it. Currently there is a material difference in traction control due to the number of magnets in the wheel sensor. Avinox also leads with 3rd party integration such as heart rate controlled assist and the whole system is cleaner in general with wireless remotes and a really solid touch screen display.

That's the best compromise for a removable battery; however it's been noted by at least one reviewer (JKW) that I have read, that this style of battery removal, notably reduces ground clearance and increases undercarriage strikes.

Removable batteries just have too many compromises and only a small subset of riders really feel the need for them. The small weight savings between a 400 & a 600 wh battery would be eaten up by the additional mass of having a removable battery anyways. Worth noting, it's very helpful to a battery's life span to never fully charge or fully drain. So, if you 'need' a 400wh battery to complete your typical ride, a 600wh battery allows you to keep the battery between 20-80% charge at all times.

While my overall ebike experience is limited, it seems to me all the bikes I've ridden tend to work better spinning the legs as opposed to pushing the hard gears..

Oh, I've seen that unnatural cadence plenty on the fat lazy riders. But you're not wrong about the Brose motor letting you know what cadence it wants, it definitely would reward spinning in 85-90 rpm range with more efficiency. There are a large number of the average users who are oblivious to the signals though. And yes, those things were notoriously unreliable. I have a buddy who's on his 5th motor. When I had a Levo gen 3, I needed a new motor in 11 months and I babied that thing. I've flogged my CX5 in comparison, done over twice...

I've never seen this 'unnatural cadence'. In fact I'd say a Specialized motor lets you know exactly what cadence it likes, and what it doesn't like.

In 2018/2019, six of us bought Levos/Kenevos. We were all existing mountain bikers since the late 90s, we hardly used turbo because of range, none of us were on the heavier side, and we knew how to change gears. All motors failed.
