Frame only pricing is a psyop to make building your own bike less appealing/practical so you suck it up and buy the full build

8/27/2026 2:33am Well I've got experience of pedalling a Levo with the motor off, and a Fuel+ with the motor off, and there was a massive difference in resistance, the TQ feels exactly like pedalling a manual bike.

Sorry, I should have clarified. Combined with lots of other swaps I did with parts I had on the shelf. Magura brakes saved just under 1#, CF handlebars/ foam grips/ forged Wren stem saved almost 1#, Mattoc Pro saved over 1# from the cheap F36 it came with, new Trail Martello tires I ordered will save almost 1# combined. I actually was shocked to see how much weight it already dropped before the big parts arrive as it's currently at 43.6#s with pedals. Really hope it’s a swappable battery with 400 and 600 options. 400 for lunch rides. 600+ range extender for backcountry missions. 2x 600 for self shuttle. Maybe even let bikes be run on range extender only like the Levo SL can. Perfect ebike right there and has the unmatched looks of a TQ motor. It doesn’t seem like Avinox is interested in this type of battery modularity so that’d be a great way to flank them.

7/13/2026 11:05pm In 2018/2019, six of us bought Levos/Kenevos. We were all existing mountain bikers since the late 90s, we hardly used turbo because of range, none of us were on the heavier side, and we knew how to change gears. All motors failed.

4/19/2026 11:00pm What if Avinox made a 350w battery, and detuned the M2 to mid power. A bike weighing in the low 40lbs would be possible? If you could swap out the battery for a 700w, and switch the motor back, you'd have the best of both worlds?

Exactly. The 1500w seems like more of a proof of concept I have a feeling that the crave won't last for very long. I find more and more people not caring about super high outputs but rather a bike that can just be more efficient and a hell of a lot lighter. If DJI can make a 700wh battery output 1500w that weighs 45-50lbs what's stopping them from making a 700-800wh bike that weights 38lbs to compete more with Bosch?
