I believe the no clutch problem has been fixed to some extend, first series had really weak "main" spring which caused the chain drop but then they quickly changed it for the stiffer spring and now its better, from what I've heard (dont own one) the chatter is now only noticeable in really the roughest terrain. On the other hand the clutch has been observed to negatively impact the suspension performance and people claim bikes feel better with the clutchless derailleurs. I know the difference was huge with the old ones, with clutch engaged the action of the lever became...

I've said it before but the lack of clutch is fine on cable XT, I prefer it over the clutch, no dropped chains and no more chain slap than clutch.

I've ridden a ton of different bikes and can't say I've ever noticed anti-rise. Not saying it's not a real thing, but it's never been the difference that stands out to me on a bike. I'd love to do a back to back test that isolated AR so I could discern what it feels like. A floating brake arm like Martin's would be perfect for testing this, if I had an extra genie wish to burn. Can I ask you a question? It sounds like you said you've only been riding bikes with higher AR, but I must be misunderstanding...

The floating arm was picked up in the suspension thread - it seems to be increasing the anti rise which is probably more of a preference thing for Martin, than a deficiency in the frame. They seem to be in a similar region to other well regarded bikes so I doubt its a major problem for them

It's an unbelievably vague press release. My first thought was that they were trying to sugarcoat "We're killing the series forever" in positive-sounding corporate-speak, but on second read it's kind of wishy washy and undefined, like maybe the UCI is exploring ways to offload the series to another organizer or multiple organizers, which is what it was all along until Chris Ball sold it to the UCI. Back in the day, the EWS was mostly a collection of events that were already taking place independent of the UCI, like the SuperEnduro series in Italy or Crankworx Whistler. After rereading it...

Awesome review. Honest, transparent, great insights and just enough “nerdiness” to satisfy the spread sheet folks (you know who you are). I’m not a full power eeb guy, but appreciate the review and it seems like a great bike. Previous bike seemed “flexy” and it seems Amflow addressed that with this bike.

Yeah Amflow actually acted on the feedback from the PL and made the changes. Wish more brands would do this. Most just seem to sit in their ivory towers and tell us what we all should be riding.

Ebikes erase hills, headwinds, and polls. DH bike and an eeb. Dealer’s choice on the eeb, they’re all better than every pedal bike. Easy peasy!
