What you are seeing is not necessarily indicative of a poor ebike market but rather, given what we know about Trek and Specialized right now, perhaps indicative of misforecasting and grossly overordering on product on the assumption there would not be an outdoor goods market correction as bad as what we've seen. How organizers still approach elite sports events as standalone products instead of marketing assets still blows my mind.
