CNutt Added a reply to Two bike garage dilemma
1 day ago My mainstays for northeast riding are a 130/140 Stumpjumper for trail riding and a full-on DH bike for park riding. I had been running the Stumpjumper and a Capra for a while, but the overlap was too much to justify having two pedal bikes. I kept the park wheels from my Capra to beef up the Stumpjumper for any full-on...

7/27/2026 9:26am I've rarely had problems with inserts. As long as you use proper technique. Last shop that I worked at, other mechanics would bring me Cushcores to install for them.

6/29/2026 8:52am Camp Alpine on the Jersey side of the Palisades has the goods you are looking for. Would also second Ringwood/Ramapo; there is some brutally techy stuff in there. Jungle habitat is a bit smaller, but an interesting setting, and again, brutal tech. Chimney Rock in boundbrook can be linked together for some really nice ups and downs over big miles...

4/14/2026 3:15am that could have changed my life on OG Enve wheels, cushcore when they literally first came out, and wire bead DH Maxxis.... but here I am. somehow still alive after that one. Thank God reserves, CC, and Maxxis DH can be done with just hands now

CNutt Added a reply to THICK grips
4/9/2026 6:42am I run megattacks on my trail bike and park bike with an XL glove size. I like them because they are very soft, longer than average grips, and seem to wear pretty well. I rotate them from the park bike onto the trail bike once the diamond texture fades. Feel great without gloves as well.

4/2/2026 6:07am I run Cushcore Pro F/R on my park bikes in the summer. North east rocks EAT wheels alive, and they seem to help save the rims from this. I'll still get a good ding here and there, but the rims definitely last longer. The downside is slower acceleration due to the heavier mass, but that's somewhat compensated for by the...

3/16/2026 11:34am I have it in a few bikes. I WORK AT DT SWISS. I have not ridden o-chain. I live in Western Colorado and basically ride in the 10 degree setting all the time. When I go to the bike park, then I swap to the 20. On my e-bike, it is always in the 10 setting. On my PNW trip last year I swapped depending on where I would ride. Around here, trying the 20 degree at our techy trails, you do get a bit of a thud when riding technical terrain on the analog bike. I haven't noticed that...

3/2/2026 3:19am Considering that we've got the Marz Shiver, the Manitou Dorado, and the Rockshox RS-1, the statement is completely stupid whatever way you want to swing it.
