8/25/2026 12:34pm As far I know, I dont see how a new track could be built on Mont Chery. Les Gets town council has recently cancelled it after publishing results from a public survey (farmers have been pretty vocal during it).

16 hours ago Idk, climbing up a very steep fire road on a gen 1 avinox and hitting the 20mph cutoff was pretty glorious

8/25/2026 12:32pm that’s what people been telling me about the m2s but clearly it was all talk and they haven’t been trying it. Do I think more is more? Absolutely not, but usability depends on much more than those numbers. There are cars that can bring 600hp to the street and others feel like a ride on a cannonball with „only“ 200hp, both accelerating within the speed limits. The usability of the m2s on the trail is excellent and I was coming from a point of view where I was searching for anything bad I could say, since the maxon AirS motor...

8/25/2026 11:23am Finally had a chance to try out some radial tires on a Norco Sight TQ (schwalbe MM ultra soft trail/TC soft gravity). Borrowed it from a buddy that runs the shop in my hometown. I have been running MM/TC, MM/MM, ECF/TC combos for the past couple of years. No idea what the tire pressure was. First thing I noticed was how tall the radial TC knobs were compared to the normal version. Climbing traction was pretty wild up a service fire road that was heavily eroded and mostly made up of blast rock, you could feel the tire doing its...

8/25/2026 11:23am Are you experiencing this on the front as well? I've been running a romy in the rear for most of the summer, no undercutting of the knobs, riding 2-3x per week. I don't find our trails particularly hard on tires, especially a firmer compound like mid.

8/25/2026 11:20am Yes, Chris Kilmurray said that during some track walk this year; the question is, will the World Cup and Worlds be on the same track, or will we have a new downhill track in Les Gets?

8/25/2026 11:17am I know it's not DH, but interesting: Cannondale XC is folding for 2027. Enve has a made-in-USA XC bike almost ready to debut, possibly at Soldier Hollow Utah UCI race. (Enve is based in Utah and owned by Utah cyclists) Cannondale team and staff will transition into the Enve XC team for 2027

8/25/2026 11:15am I appreciate all the feedback. My point of reference to compare the ‘26 34 is the ‘16 34 on my Yeti. I guess the air springs have just gotten more progressive in the last 10 yrs. The reason I’m harping on it is that I’ve developed numbness in my hands on long rides which I’ve never had before. I know the numbness is likely due to cockpit setup but I figured I’d ask the Vital brain trust about the fork just in case. 👍🏻

8/25/2026 11:12am Compared to 5-10 years ago, forks have evolved (or should that be EVOLved....) to have larger negative springs and and overall more progressive spring curve, which is much better in performance but does make them harder to get every last mm of stroke - its very common for the average rider to have 0 volume spacers in their forks vs 2 or 3 not too long ago. Especially if your fork is set to its longest travel option since they have the largest compression ratio in both the air spring and lowers. On top of that, the extra negative volume...

8/25/2026 11:12am Thank you for the response. I bought the bike back in January so it’s not old but it’s definitely broken in. I agree max travel is not the most important thing, but in the past I’ve always been able to set my front and rear suspension up to achieve max travel on the biggest jump landings.
