9/17/2026 11:28am I rendered the edit in 1080 because I also had some vertical shots in there, wasn't sure how that would all react. Maybe I'll try rendering in 4K and uploading a second version.

9/17/2026 10:26am You may want to enable 4K playback on your YouTube upload- the best resolution option right now is 1080. It doesn't give that camera its due representation.

Falcon Added a reply to Tips for Changing Tires
9/9/2026 9:46am I come from the motorcycle side of things. In that world, when changing tires you must put the tire out in the sunlight for 1.3 hours, polish your tire spoons and 12mm wrench, use lots of lube, preferably have a cheerleader and a wellness coach keeping you calm, build a small fire, and sacrifice a live chicken at the altar...

9/9/2026 9:34am Go change a whole bunch of sportbike, MX, and ATV tires. It will cause you to appreciate just how damn easy bike tires are to deal with. Snark aside, Make sure the rim is super clean. Lube one side and install it. Tire lube works best. Pour in sealant. Lube other side. Work bead from the bottom and when you are getting close check to make sure both beads are well and truly down in the bead well. Pop the bead over. Inflate with air compressor regulated to 50psi. Ensure both beads are seated. Enjoy. Speedier Tire Lever

9/9/2026 9:33am These are all good tips, but one of those most simple ones that has not been mentioned is to make sure that the beads are pushed into the center rim well as you go to seat the second side of the tire. Failure to do this makes it damn near impossible to stretch the final bit of bead over. As for inflation once you've gotten the tire on the rim I do several things. If the tire is loose, I'll take a tie-down strap, run it around the tire circumference and snug it down to put pressure on the beads...

8/14/2026 11:18am Man, I think I'm done with Rampage every year. (I didn't want to see Adolf Silva get paralyzed, and I sure don't want to see someone die on live TV!) Then it comes on, and I can't look away. ๐

8/11/2026 3:06pm You, sir, are an eloquent genius. ๐ I often respond similarly over on the MX site when people ask how we can make Supercross better by rule changes. You know, fire rings, alligator pits, oil slicks, etc... those are my suggestions.

8/6/2026 11:50am I absolutely love my full 29er enduro bike, so I'd definitely want one of those. A big mullet superenduro or DH bike would be ideal for bike park trips, and I could probably use a 26 or 27.5 DJ machine. Finally, I think it would be cool to have a 32/32 hardtail/fixed fork Klunker.

7/21/2026 11:49am I don't do mine very often, but when I do it's just a hand-wash in the sink using laundry detergent.

7/21/2026 11:45am Yeah I wouldn't recommend that at all. Great way to ruin it. It's bad for it to be subjected to those chemicals and that heat for that period of time. Dishwashers are harsh AF. I take mine into the shower, put it on when I have shampoo in my hair, move it around a bit, get some shampoo into the straps, then rinse it all out immediately. Sounds stupid but shampoo seems to do a better job with odors than anything else, and it's the fastest/easiest way of washing it that I've found.

7/7/2026 8:57am I like it. Full-power enduro e-bikes could easily handle most DH courses and we'd get the benefit of all riders on track at once, with passing, strategy, etc. It would be like motocross, but on bicycles, and more so than BMX is. Build a one-mile course with a climb and a downhill, start everyone from the same starting gate, and...

Falcon Added a reply to Why do you CARE so MUCH about new bikes geo?
7/1/2026 2:45pm Great thread idea; I can't wait to see how it develops. I'm going to throw a wrench into it right away though, and say I DON'T care that much about geometry. Here are my thoughts: I come from a motocross background. For all the years I've been doing it, there has only ever been one size of MX bike, and...

6/26/2026 3:18pm I don't have big legs or a nice jawline, but I have absolutely filleted myself after looping out on hard dirt using clipon pedals and trying to manual. I wasn't getting anywhere with it, so I threw down hard on one occasion and voila! Instant loopout. Dude, that still hurts.

6/22/2026 3:18pm I have an Ogio-branded one that works really well. It has no collar, but the neck is tall; when zipped up, it will cover the back of my neck nicely. It's made from really thin, rip-stop material and it will fold/wad up small enough to fit in a large pocket in my shorts.

6/16/2026 11:58am Haha! Well, I'm certainly an average guy (or below,) but I feel like I can put a little more push into the front wheel with DHFs and they'll push back. The Assegai just feels like it has a limit and that's it. To me, anyway. Keep in mind I ride on dry, hard terrain 99.9% of the time. I think...
