That shipment of revolts was pretty heartbreaking for everyone at evil that day….. The bike itself was nothing short of brilliant imho, at the time of 26inch dh racing bikes, combined with Dave Weagle, Thomas, and Stevie? The marketing, the design AND THE SWEET RIDE, man that bike was something. I think that’s a really good second try, aluminum MX dh race / park sled REVOLT2 could be incredible. …..But market analytics demonstrated by intense this week shows: it would probably only sell in Chinese urban centers….

I’d love to see a shoot out of trail bikes using the same linkage designs. It would really interesting to start to dig a bit deeper as to what sets them apart - quality control, kinematics, maintenance, etc etc.

From what Evil have said (Jason Moeschler) it’s not a DH dedicated bike - there just isn’t the market for them, it’ll be the new Wreckoning but it’s not going to be out anytime soon… so he says.. he’s on instagram as evil.bikes.smooth.operator and answers questions every Friday in his stories. This bike was in it this week.

Be so cool to see an Evil DH bike again. When Evil first launched with the Revolt in alloy I think they had quite a few warranty frames. They replaced all or nearly all. Not sure if material, fabrication, heat treating or what, but I remember a lot of them breaking. That was like 15 years ago, if not longer...

Based on the contracts and which events are scheduled it looks like the last 3 of the year will again be Soldier Hollow, Whistler, and Lake Placid. Which means they didn't fix the issue in the schedule that will happen this year with trucks unable to make it from Whistler to Lake Placid in time.

When buying gloves buy something that feels a bit too tight when you try them on in the shop as they stretch out to fit your hand and not bunch up.

They are kind of expensive. But handup pro performance gloves have a very tight fit on my hands and tend to last a pretty long time. Blisters turn to callouses and then you won’t feel it anymore. Just keep riding.

I've got that same feeling with my Reeb SST, It's gonna stay with me a for a very long time. I'll probably need to get repainted a few times in it's lifetime. But, my 5yo has already said that he wants it when he gets older haha.

This is one of the reasons I ponied up the money to have a custom steel hardtail made a few years ago. I’m not getting invited to Greta Thunberg’s sailboat or anything, but I liked the idea of having at least one bike that I will keep forever.

Its a super-duper longshot, but I have watched this play out a few times now. All depends on a few (huge) things... 1) Who here sold a tech company/has generational wealth/a mega rich uncle/dad who runs a hedge fund and is bored? We'd need 7 figures to buy the thing out of receivership. 2) What is the price? If the price is right, it works. If its not, its all for nothing. 3) "Who's coming with me?" The timing is not in our favor, and I can't stress how important point number 1 is. Most people aren't interested in tying...
