A few hiccups in the judging but pretty minor this year. Overall great event and minimal accidents for the women's side.

If they do, they’ll need to figure out the drag with the current system. It’s fine on a DH bike but I wouldn’t want to pedal it all day.

I tested the Intradrive at Eurobike a couple of years ago and the shifting feel was really nice. Positive engagement akin to Sram 11spd days in the best sense of that description. The test bike was built with that Alutech frame.

Boy, if that's backing off a lot more riders should try it: A win and a 2nd place (by 0.4 seconds) in her last 2 races. She earned 480 points in those 2 races. The nearest anyone came in those 2 races in terms of points was Gracey's 320. I think Vali was really trying to match the 7 wins of Rachel Atherton and Ann-Caroline Chausson, so she was going for wins right up until the end.

It seems wild to me that people would run a DH bike with zero bash protection! It's as if the preventative measures work so well, that people forget why they were developed in the first place and get complacent.....

This is the point that many forget when there's outrage over the use of AI for creative work. Those capabilities were built on the learning (mass consumption) of human-derived material with no compensation whatsoever. Remember the show Iron Chef, where the chefs had 60 minutes to whip something up and whatever didn't come out just right had to be served anyway? DH bike really just need more chainring protection like below (Myriam Nicole's bike). I used to do similar on my DH bikes- ran the OG Evil full bashring on the outside of the chainring and a taco style guard on the inside. Or this- DIY bike: This thing is just a loop of steel tube welded to the DT/BB. Would probably support the weight of a car. Guessing 75% of the chain issues we see are due to riders smashing the chain into rocks...

The last time a SC frame snapped at a WC that I can recall it got covered up with a coat. It hit a tree, which often causes frames to break, so it's not like it was for some suspect reason and it still got covered.
