8/14/2026 7:21am It's friday and that sounds like the perfect time to start a fight about wheel sizes again! Not exactly MTB, but Cube is supposedly dropping a 32" gravel in it's 2027 lineup. Saw this image floating around, first brand to commit to 30.5" ? Would hate to be an inventory manager right now...

8/14/2026 7:20am Well it's up to the rider for buying a frame that is not rated to their weight. Don't get me wrong, I'm not protecting them and it's something that would make me hesitate buying a Cube A LOT if I was in the market, but the fact of the matter is that they communicated that fairly well via their site. Better than most other brands I'd say. You have a ton of components that don't even have a category of use attached to them.

8/13/2026 6:20am Something I noticed today, On the Santa Cruz bike archive the 5010 is not listed as a current model, just up to 2025. I haven't heard anything about it being discontinued from my SC rep, but none of the other current models are marked like that in the archive.

8/13/2026 6:20am That's cool! I didn't realize they made two different swingarms. I'm guessing Yeti concluded that the two unique swingarm molds were necessary because of the large variation in chainstay length they've rolled out with the LT, from as short as 439mm on the small all the way up to 475mm on the XL, which is a lot to squeak out of one swingarm by moving around the mounting points on the front triangle. I know it has +10mm modular dropouts to account for some of that change in rear center length, but leverage is leverage and the same swingarm with...

8/13/2026 6:18am Quick update from Bruni (first vid in French, swipe to second vid for English). It's looking unlikely that he'll be back for Les Gets or Worlds as his wrist injury is taking as long as predicted, but not any faster, to recover. Tough year for Super Bruni!

8/13/2026 6:18am Loved this review. Discerning how tires work is really hard, and then describing those observations is another challenge entirely. I think Brian killed it with his descriptions, analysis, and comparison. I'm excited to try them out. Two questions for you @notseanday: How soon can we expect to have MaxxTerra or Dual Compound tires available in the DHX (or any other tire with New DH casing)? While I love having more grip, I don't have that ultra-soft-rear-tire sort of budget and my thumbs can't bear changing tires that often. Are we not worried about rocks, sticks, and other offending objects in...

8/11/2026 6:05am Why doesn’t someone just make a weighted insert that fits into a hollow spindle? Could play with weights and even take it out if it’s not needed

8/11/2026 6:04am I really like these tires after just one ride on them this past weekend. I live in the bay area of California, so read very dry conditions. I rode in Santa Cruz and they were so good. I was running HR3 and DHRII previously at 23 psi in the front, and 28psi in the rear. The DHX at 20psi in the front and 25psi the rear feels perfect. The new casing is so supportive and traction is all time. I'm no reviewer hence why I was saying the Brian Cahal review is the best I've seen on these tires. Everything...

Finally listened to this: My theory is that this episode of 17 questions was really an elaborate ploy by the management at Vital to steal insider tricks from you about maximizing YouTube engagement, thumbnails, titles, content, etc. Crankflip to Abubaca is ridiculous. Didn’t know you were an Eagle Scout! That’s awesome. Even before mountain biking, backpacking in Scouts was one of the first things that really clicked for me as a kid who absolutely, positively, could not sit still in and be quiet in school all day, so it's cool to hear you has the same experience. I forgot about...

8/10/2026 6:10am John Tomac is widely considered one of the greatest (American) mountain bike racers of all time. During the early years of international racing he won numerous DH and XC events. He went on to be the namesake and involved with Tomac bikes. The 204 DH frame in the photo was their flagship model. The bike company then ceased to exist (in the late 2000s?). I also believe he helped coach several (a lot?) of racers over the years including Aaron Gwin for a time. Finally, if you’re into motocross, he is the father of Eli Tomac. Basically, John Tomac was...
