The last thing I want is to put a $600 derailleur on my bike. Upgrades to shifting? It’s a drivetrain…I click the shifter and the chain changes gear. What is there to upgrade?

The gearing on the T-type cassettes has honestly been my favorite thing about it.

In my experience (Deore 12 speed) Microspline hubs get just as chewed up by the cassette as the old HG ones did. What’s the point of that?

For one, MicroSpline puts two tiny bearings too far apart, in a flexible envelope. It's a bearing chewing machine.
A lot of people is simply replacing the spacer between the bearings with more bearings, to avoid axle flex.

I think I saw somewhere a how to for changing them, cant find it now.
At some stage I’ve seen someone doing some mods mixing up t type and eagle shifters to make the eagle 90 click nicely like a x01

You can get these straight off Etsy these days, wonder if they're waterproof or if you should wax them;
